Amazing food. The waitress is super friendly the kids love her. They’re dishes have huge servings and the taste is amazing. Nice small town vibe to get away from the city craziness. Very cozy. Coffee is amazing. All around an awesome place!

Update 4/2022: This is now the restaurant side of Rooster’s, there is no Western Omelette 3 here anymore. I definitely recommend Rooster’s
Delicious food, generous portions and generally excellent service. I’ve been here several times and the food is always good. Occasionally I get a server who seems disinterested but the rest of the experience is still good. For the best service, ask for Loretta – excellent, attentive and very personable. Be sure to tip well for that outstanding service I definitely recommend this place!

Holy huge portions. Look, unless you’re a chupacabra or your date is Humpty Dumpty, i highly recommend two people share a dish. Trust me. Or you’re definitely probably gonna need a box. Friendly. Fresh. Yummmyum in the tummmtumm. ❤️

Great little restaurant that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere. I had the breakfast enchiladas with green Chile. They were great! You get a lot of food for the price of meal.

Best fish dinner I’ve had in a very long time and amazing food the family bragged about! Even better was the delivery service which we never thought we would be lucky to have living out of town. Absolutely, hands down, our favorite place to eat now! Look forward to ordering here again and again.

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast on our way through to see the painted mines. I got the skillet, and she got the “Harley” breakfast plate. Here’s our pros and cons.
Pros:
– Clean restaurant with unique atmosphere.
– Friendly and attentive wait staff.
– Good variety of breakfast options.
– Decent coffee and good toast.
Cons:
– HUGE portions. You could reasonably split just one meal rather than pay for two. For someone passing through town, it can be inconvenient to decide between taking the rest to go and wasting over half a plate.
– Food was just okay: not bad but not great. The plate-sized pancake tasted unremarkable and was too much for one sitting. The sausage was very greasy. Big portions don’t make up for the lacking quality.
– Water tasted very bad. Not sure what the problem was there.
– Menu was visually overwhelming and therefore hard to read. (This one coul definitely just be me.)
Overall Impression:
For an average of $10 per plate, the excess of food that you get still doesn’t seem worth it. Best to try somewhere else.

went to this restaurant with my family. It was clean, and the waitress was pretty good. However, my food was horrible! This was my first visit to Western Omelet 3,and EVERYTHING I was served was awful. The water i was given tasted like toilet cleaner, the ground beef in my burrito was microwave reheated, and even the lemonade tasted off. I had my family try all three, and even my brother spit up the hamburger. I’m not sure if I unknowingly did something to offend the serving staff, as my moms water tasted fine, and all of their meals were quite good. Those I was polite, and we were not talking about anything that could make someone listening upset. All i know is that I was hungry and don’t like to complain, so I eat about half the burrito before saying something to my family. They tried it too, and my mom insisted I tell the waitress. We did, and she said sorry, but there was nothing she could do. I left still a bit hungry and upset that I paid $13 for this reheated disaster. I think the worst part is that the something in that meal gave me indigestion, so I had to retaste it for the rest of the day, and as my stomach was upset, couldn’t eat anything else. Extremely gross! I’m sorry to leave a bad review, but this was the worst food and water I have ever been served. If your looking for somewhere to eat in this town, I recommend anywhere except Western Omelet!

Great food in a great town.
I loved the Western Omelette in Colorado Springs, and when it came to Calhan I was somewhat concerned it wouldn’t be as good. I was wrong. Great place, friendly people in a great little town. Wish they had beer and cocktails, but still awesome.
