Went in for small business Saturday, but we absolutely will be back! My husband and I both ordered a cold brew with French toast syrup; his had a splash of cream and mine had a vanilla cold foam. Delicious! We also had a sausage breakfast burrito (not pictured, we ate it immediately). Great price point, kind and knowledgeable baristas, and nice assortment of local artists’ work.

☕ *Coffee and books—two of life’s finest pleasures.* So imagine our delight when we stumbled upon a charming little gem tucked away in West View that serves up both! From the velvety cappuccinos to the perfectly crumbly scones, our first visit was a treat for the senses. And yes, we’ll definitely be back—because cozy corners, good reads, and great coffee are simply irresistible.

BIG NEWS: An Insanely Cute Coffee Shop Just Opened!
Say hello to West View Brew, the absolutely adorable new coffee shop on Perry Hwy in West View! Open daily and already welcoming party bookings and events, this place is a total vibe.
The Decor? So. Freaking. Cute.
The Coffee and Homemade Pastries? Unreal.
Yes, you heard that right—all pastries and cold brew are made in-house. We LOVE to see it. With tons of flavor options and mouthwatering treats, this spot is already stealing hearts (and taste buds).
Starting May 21st — FLIGHTS are launching!
Two incredible options:
Back to Basics Flight
Just the classics, done right:
Chai
Latte
Matcha
Cold Brew
Brew-gie Flight (Brew + Bougie = Brew-gie)
A rotating selection of over-the-top seasonal and creative drinks handpicked by the baristas. Think:
Specialty Lattes
Iced Chais
Iced Matchas
Bonus: Vote for your favorite flight flavor to be featured as a monthly special the following month! Love this interactive touch. Naturally, I had to go full extra and try the Brew-gie Flight — and WOW. This month’s lineup is next level:
Toasted S’mores Chai
Toasted marshmallow syrup, chai latte, topped with marshmallow cold foam, chocolate drizzle, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers.
Like a cozy campfire in a cup.
Cinnamon Roll Cold Brew
Cinnamon and vanilla syrup, housemade cold brew, vanilla cold foam, cinnamon sugar sprinkle, and yes — a mini cinnamon roll on top!
Sweet perfection.
Hazelnut Mocha Latte
Hazelnut, mocha sauce, espresso, milk, chocolate cold foam, and another mini cinnamon roll.
Dessert and caffeine in one glorious sip.
Lavender Honey Matcha
Vanilla and lavender syrup, matcha, milk, and a housemade lavender honey cold foam sprinkled with dried lavender.
Delicate, floral, and completely OBSESSED.

If you’re in the area (or honestly, even if you’re not), run don’t walk to West View Brew. It’s everything we love in a local spot: creative drinks, homemade goodies, and serious attention to detail. I’m already planning my next visit.

If you own a small business and want me to support your small business, then support real, human-made artwork or local photographers instead of the plethora of framed AI photos you ordered online. Real artists who also have small businesses would appreciate that. The junky AI decor is giving basic girl, live-laugh-love vibes. You can make a space colorful, maximalist, and welcoming without supporting computer-generated “art” hung all over the walls. You could even find some more unique pieces at a locally-owned thrift store.

Aside from that, as long as you have good coffee, I would still come back. But the drinks simply aren’t good. Our first drink, an iced vanilla oat latte was really watery. ***Edited to add: This was not our first oat milk latte. Being lactose intolerant, we’ve had many throughout the years that aren’t watery. It is definitely possible to make a great latte with a milk alternative. Our second drink, a hot Americano just didn’t taste like quality espresso. Despite the reputable brand, maybe the espresso wasn’t ground fine enough, pressed tight enough, or the machine pressurized within range? Maybe the water wasn’t filtered? These all can make a difference in the shot. Least importantly, service was slow even though they weren’t busy. And a note to the owners reply— Almost all coffee shops “make drinks by hand.” Even so, if the drinks tasted better, I’d make this a regular stop since we are local, but we poured them down the drain when we got home.

It is hard to believe that a person who doesn’t like coffee would try out a coffee shop. I was meeting someone in West View and I wanted a light breakfast and a place to have a conversation. I thought the pastries looked good I decided to try a breakfast wrap and said if it wasn’t enough I would get a pastry afterwards with my glass of water. When I got the wrap almost instantly wrapped up in foil, I wasn’t expecting much. What I got completely surprised me. Scrambled eggs, perfect hash brown potatoes, cheese and excellent sausage in a soft fresh breakfast wrap. I was even asked if I would like some ketchup or hot sauce with it. Of course I took the hot sauce. After excellent conversation in a comfortable place I decided I would try the pastries the next time.

They use tacky AI art on the walls and my Pecan pie cold brew had no cold foam, please just put up normal, human-made art.
