West Street Grill was absolutely exceptional! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and everything from the food to the service was outstanding. The owner, James, was incredibly kind and personally checked on our table, making us feel completely at home. A wonderful dining experience, we can’t wait to return!

There is a fine place to have a fine lunch in middle Connecticut than the West Street Grill in Litchfield. The restaurant is cozy and well planned both for the food and the ambiance. The tables are spaced so you will never feel crowded or sharing a conversation with strangers at the next table because the decibel level is so loud so people have to shout over music to be heard. But come for the food not the furniture. There are multiple choices of traditional favorites (burgers, chicken, salads) or unexpected culinary highlights you might expect in higher priced restaurants. The peasant bread is a good way to start. Our waiter was competent and service was very attentive. Our food was delivered promptly and cooked to order. In all, we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful dinner at West Street Grill this past weekend. The food was refined and delicious. Everything was so fresh, especially the tomatoes that were as sweet as candy. The service was excellent. James, the owner, and his team were friendly and worked hard to ensure we had a great experience. We are so happy to have come across this restaurant offering farm-to-table cuisine and will definitely return when we are in the area again.

This was our first time visiting the West Street Grill. Perfect atmosphere for a date night! This restaurant nails the balance between fine dining and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We started with the classic peasant bread and the crostini with burrata – both amazing.
For mains, the salmon bucatini was rich and flavorful, and the grilled branzino was cooked to perfection. We finished with the chocolate mousse, which was absolutely to die for.
As great as the food was, the highlight was the staff. Everyone was warm and genuine, and James, the owner, made us feel right at home. A place we’ll definitely return to.

My husband and I have enjoyed meals at West Street Grill a couple of times in the last month. The food is delicious (the Peasants Bread is a must try!) but even more than that, our favorite part has been the exceptional service. James is an especially gracious and attentive host and his team as a whole are welcoming and courteous. The service and atmosphere at West Street made us feel like “regulars” from our very first visit. It is obvious why this establishment is a beloved community staple.

Side Grill. So glad she did. Upon entering we were greeted by James the owner who suggested what he thought was the best table available. He made the perfect choice.
Everything about our visit was exceptional starting with the service to the wine and beer selections. We had mussels for an app. They were served with a sauce that was amazing in their simplicity. For dinner my wife had the sea bass, I had the short ribs. They were incredibly delicious, the presentation and accompaniments of each were masterful. Portions were perfectly sized.
I saw a few negative reviews posted here and I don’t understand them at all. There was nothing negative about our visit at all except our sadness in leaving such an awesome establishment .

I’ve been meeting up with my brother here for years. It’s halfway between us. It’s a lovely place: friendly & delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing. Take your time, enjoy conversation. Waiters are impeccable, food is first rate, I wish it was closer but I’ll happily make the trip.

Don’t miss out!!!!! This fabulous dining experience was nothing short of spectacular! The beet and citrus salad was perfectly married with a citrus vinaigrette.
