I went to west rose today for brunch and they had an amazing burger that was delicious so i defined recommend that also the breakfast pizza and ginger lemonade. all the servers were very friendly and nice, checking on us to make sure everything was good. One of the servers, Kelly, was really great at ensuring that our glasses were always filled. i will for sure be recommending West Rose to my friends and family.

I would define West Rose as style over substance. It’s a very beautiful space. The “chef’s table” corner seats where we were placed should not exist. It’s the thruway for drink servers and close
To the flat top making it an over stimulating and warm experience. Our meal was pretty lackluster in terms of taste, execution,
And timing. for the price. The tuna crudo was a highlight, but was unfortunately served at the same time as the cashew “snack” we ordered, which was very over-powering. The ice box salad was so incredibly over dressed and salty it was hard to eat. It begged for acid or a sweet counterpoint. The roasted chicken large plate was all bone undercooked lentils, and again was Begging for acidity or brightness. Service was pretty lack luster. All in all I don’t think I would return.

We had our wedding at West Rose and it is the BEST venue! Jesse is the absolute best to work with and made the planning process incredibly easy. The entire staff was incredible on the day of the wedding and made sure our guests had a great time. People are still RAVING about the short ribs and they were abele to accommodate all dietary needs. We highly recommend hosting events here or at any of their locations.

Actually insanelyyyy good. The roasted chicken with polenta is weirdly the best chicken I’ve ever had. It’s so good.
The mushroom pizza everyone loved. My mom also said it was some of the best pizza she’s had.
Get the tuna – it’s great.
The kale Caesar is amazingggg. The garden salad is better than average but nothing too special.
They also have great mocktails.
The vibe is great for a group dinner, date, anything. A bit fancy. Really cool.

AMAZING. Came here for brunch and got to downtown a bit earlier than we expected, we had a reservation for 12:15 and they were still willing and able to seat us at 11:30. The hostess noticed the note on my reservation we were in town for an anniversary, congratulated us and sat us at the chefs bar where you can eat and see the chefs prepare food.
We ordered mimosa, breakfast pizza, pancakes and the pork bowl. The services was excellent, the food was incredible and our waitress even brought us a celebratory rose to toast. Loved the aesthetic of the restaurant and it was nice chatting with one of the chefs. Can’t wait to go back here again and we’ll have to try dinner next time!

I wish there were half star ratings because I would have given this place 3.5. the atmosphere was nice, very clean, the only complaint is that it was very cold inside and the table they sat us at had cold air blowing directly on it from a vent. My friend complained and the waitress said they would turn it off which was very nice. The table was quite small and would not hold all the dishes we ordered so we had to move to a larger table. Right away I noticed there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table (which I always interpret as a display of arrogance by the chef). We started with the focaccia with whipped ricotta, the focaccia was outstanding, the best I’ve ever had. The inside was super soft and stretchy, with a nice crisp buttery crust. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Amazing texture and flavor. The whipped ricotta had a nice creamy texture with a decent amount of black pepper on it , which I would imagine some people may not like. We also got the hummus appetizer, that was also really great, the hummus was very creamy and flavorful, the crispy chickpeas on top added some crunch and also had a nice flavor. We tried the chicken and rice stuffed pepper and we both enjoyed that as well..nice flavor profile with the coffee mole, chicken was tender. My friend ordered the cauliflower appetizer which he said was good but had some extremely hot peppers in it. I had the crispy potato dish and I thought it was good but nothing to write home about. (That’s when I wished they had a salt shaker on the table) The dish that we were both most excited for and both disappointed by were the carrots, they were served cold. We were not expecting that…the texture of the carrots was good, they were soft and browned but serving them cold was completely unappealing. I was also expecting to taste the cardamom but it was overpowered by some type of vinegar flavor which I couldn’t place because there was nothing with vinegar in the dish. The only thing I can guess is the tamarind and apricot juices mixed together may have given it that acidic flavor. The service was great, the food came out extremely fast, although when our first dish was brought the waitress forgot to give us plates and we had to wait a few minutes for another waitress to notice and bring some plates over so we could begin eating. Overall it was good but nothing to rave about, we both agreed it was not something we would go back for, although if I lived in the area I would absolutely order that focaccia regularly.

Stopped here while driving through the state for a quick dinner. The weather was amazing and they had a few outdoor tables on the sidewalk. Seems every restaurant in town serves pizza so we got a margarita to split between the two of us. It was really really good. Inside looked very clean and nice and the staff were friendly too. Definitely recommend!

West Rose checks all of the boxes for either a fun night out with friends, a place to gather for a celebration, or a romantic evening with your loved one. The main floor features an open kitchen and bar that provides continuous entertainment, and the upstairs bar is a more casual social spot fitted with games and a projector to watch the game. The food is tremendous and although the menu is small, it brings out the best options the chef has to offer!

In Ellicottville to celebrate New Years weekend and wanted to get out to somewhere new. We heard about West Rose and wanted to check it out. We got a reservation in advance (highly recommended). On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly.
The space itself is clean (lot of white), trendy and unique. The long bar runs a good portion of the right side as you head to the ground level seating. A large brick oven pizza maker occupies the space adjacent to the bar where you can see staff creating and churning out their tasty pies, cooked to perfection.
Service was polite and on top of refilling water, getting additional drinks etc. There were only (2) restrooms on the ground level, which often had a line (as it was busy). A worthy note is that there are additional bathrooms directly below if you go down the adjacent stairs. You can also get a glimpse into the food prep cooking area.
Certainly warrants a visit if you are in the area. Dimly lit at night, comfortable and cozy.

Still 5 stars all around for our favorite place! Table 12 will now always hold a special place in our hearts after an eventful Friday evening, where my husband got to play firefighter (haha). The staff were SO amazing, and though their continuous thanks weren’t necessary, it was much appreciated. We’ve loved this place since it opened, and we’ll continue to be regulars for sure!
