We stayed at Hotel Angeleno and ate at West Restaurant and Lounge our entire trip—and it was absolutely outstanding. The food, service, and views were all amazing. We enjoyed breakfast, evening drinks, dinner, and dessert, and every single meal was top-notch.

What we loved most was the atmosphere. The restaurant was never crowded, making it the perfect quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of West LA. You can actually enjoy a conversation without raising your voice, which is rare in Los Angeles.

The staff went above and beyond to take care of us, making the whole experience even better. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for excellent food, great service, and stunning views.

I stayed at this hotel—and ate at this restaurant—a few years ago, so when I received an email about their Thanksgiving menu, I decided to give it another try since I wasn’t in the mood to cook this year. Honestly, it turned out to be a really nice surprise.

My wife and daughters ordered the Thanksgiving menu and everything was excellent—the turkey was juicy, the stuffing was great, and the whole plate was very well done. I ordered a steak, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. Service overall was friendly and attentive.

The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of something small but noticeable: I ordered a bottle of wine, and although the server checked on us several times, he never helped with pouring the wine. I don’t think he ignored it on purpose; it just felt like he didn’t know the proper service for bottle wine. He was very polite, though—just needs a bit more training.

Other than that, we had a great Thanksgiving dinner and would definitely return.

Good food and service with great views. Overall a nice experience having dinner at West. Tapas style small plates. Some were very small, like the asian wraps, and others were decent size like the meatballs. Service nothing fancy but friendly and prompt. Awesome views of the mountains, ocean, and most of the LA basin. Parking valet cost was validated for 2hrs or less.

Loved the food and the view!

We made reservations for brunch… But didn’t need them. We enjoyed great service and a beautiful morning view.

I had almond crusted French toast and Jay had a choose-your-own-ingtedients scramble. Super tasty! I loved the fresh berries and the crisp toasted almond batter on the toast.

The drip coffee was also delicious and it always tastes better when the cream comes out of a nice pitcher doesn’t it?

Next time we are in town we’ll definitely check out the happy hour up here.

Located on the 17th floor of the “Hotel Angelinos” is the West Restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere! Overlooking LA and the 405 fwy. Our server/bartender Gabriella was friendly and attentive to our party. The food was excellent and worth the money spent. Compliments to the chef! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Whenever I travel from the east coast to the Los Angeles area, I have dinner at West. The food is well presented and consistent, and I like the new tapas-style options. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and extremely attentive. They give you the time and space to enjoy your meal and company, which I appreciate since I am typically there for business. Additionally, the panoramic view of the city, especially at night is absolutely beautiful! West is definitely a “go to” for me!

Hard to beat the amazing view. You get to see the Getty museum, LA, the hills, the view and the sunset are just amazing.

The service is also really good. Staff is attentive.

Food is good, the small plates are great, the pricing is really correct for the view and location.

Since I was staying at the hotel located in the same building, I had a $25 a day credit for the restaurant.

Highly recommended if you are in the area and especially if you are staying at the hotel.

While back I took my friends for dinner and everyone was overwhelmed with a great service, awesome food and amazing view and ambiance at night.
And they got 5 stars from me. This one is for the reconfirmation of all the same things above but for their brunch. It is a must go for brunch.
Portion is great, food and service excellent.
And the coffee, OMG!

We moved our son into UCLA the day we came for dinner. The atmosphere and service made it such a wonderful close to our chaotic move in day. My husband and I hadn’t eaten in 12 hours, so we got the scandalous Fried Chicken special. The portions were large, but so delicious. Our son enjoyed the burger and gobbled it all up. Five stars to Johnson that made our evening so wonderful. My only complaint was from the bar. Our wine glasses were not worth the price. Also, we went to Happy hour the following night and the Pigs in a Blanket came out to about $3/ dog for a super small portion. The Martini was full of ice and very weak. Also, not worth the money. My 5 star rating is for the first night’s dinner. Amazing
