The first time coming here. Love the atmosphere. It was crowded but very low key. A lot of folks gathered to enjoy each other’s company. Anxious to try a lot of things on the menu and definitely want to come back to see the breakfast menu.

Love this place such amazing staff and food. You feel at home. We had an amazing waitress name Char and I couldn’t have asked for a better waitress. She made me a drink that made my day go from stressed to relaxing and calm. Thank you Char.
The food omg is always so good and Char helped me make a Texas BLT and it was yummy they need to add this to the menu.

West Forty is one of the best breakfast places in the Park Rapids area. West Forty has a unique country vibe inside. They offer amazing service and their breakfast food is top tier. It is one of our family favorites and we highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Great place for breakfast. The coffee is very good and plentiful. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean. The decorations are great and authentic. This place has a very large parking lot with lots of room to park an RV. I had a ham and cheese omlet that was very good. We recommend stopping by when you are in the area.

The only reason I’m giving this a 4 and not 5 star is because as many other reviews have stated it is slow! We had to wait 40 minutes – maybe why it’s called West Forty.. ha. I ordered the Rueben. I wanted to order breakfast since reading all the great reviews but breakfast is over at 11am and we got here at 11:10 am. The food is great. Large portions! My husband had the Philly steak. If you’re not in a huge hurry it is worth the wait! The decor is interesting as well. Glad we came.

Very rude service. Food took over an hour the server was rude and unkind. I really used to love this restaurant but will never hopefully ever go back. The server argued with us at beginning as we had asked for one table for all of us having called ahead asking for this and she set up two tables then we pushed two tables together. We were also told if they run out of pie we want nothing she can do, that she can’t control that many people seated before us got served long before we did, that the food was served cold or wrong portions and she got mad shoved food at people wasn’t polite or kind. Owner was cooking in back he did apologize for slow service but didn’t comp anything or apologize or talk to whole group. It was a terrible dining experience.

Got a tip from the Citgo station, and while I tried somewhere fancy, It was busy and indifferent, so we bailed for what we had been offered and got exactly what we were looking for.
Simple, affordable, with no frills but still not second rate. It was clear from the crowd that kept this place filled, it was where the locals preferred. Glad I came and would next time in the area.

We had a disgusting experience here. The sad part is they only had 4 tables, so there’s no excuse for it. My wife and I both ordered the new York strip medium rare. What we got was a sirloin cut and it was severely overcooked. The lettuce in the salad was brown, almost expired. The service was slow. The hash browns were overcooked as well. The bad food literally made me lose my appetite…
Presentation wise though they get a 10 / 10. It’s a beautiful building with fantastic decorations. Would not recommend this place until they get a better cook and or management.
