Stopped by West Coast Tacos in Bellevue hoping for a bold, satisfying bite. The Birria Tacos, made with slow-cooked beef, had promising flavor, but the execution fell short. The meat was so fatty it was nearly inedible, which made the dish feel more frustrating than indulgent.

The accompanying consommé broth, typically the soul of a good birria, lacked depth and seasoning, it felt more like a side of warm water than a rich, savory dip.

On a brighter note, the shrimp quesadilla delivered. The shrimp was cooked just right, tender, not rubbery and the flavors were well-balanced. It’s a solid choice if you’re craving something coastal and comforting.

Service was friendly, and the vibe casual, but the inconsistency in the food makes it hard to recommend.

So greasy. Got what I thought would be some nice tacos but the shell was so greasy I went through 3 napkins eating them and my hands were still covered. This doesn’t include all the grease that dripped out (at least another Tablespoon) and the additional cup of grease they served with the tacos (not sure I get this). I don’t write reviews often, but this simply was not good.

Super excited the food hall in Lincoln Square opened back up and so happy tacos is back with other yummy businesses. My boyfriend and I tried west coast tacos and seoul bowl. Didn’t get a picture of his food…he started eating it before I could get a decent photo. I got the taco flight ($15). The tacos were all delicious but the star was the shrimp taco which was my favorite and the mango drink was the perfect drink to wash it all down. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait long either (10-15 min between West Coast Tacos and Seoul Bowl). Will for sure be back to try the birria tacos! My boyfriend devoured his fried chicken ($16) from Seoul Bowl, he said best wings he’s had in awhile. Some could say prices are high but being in Bellevue and in a clean and aesthetic location the prices are justified! Need to try Drip Tea next time :). Also parking is validated for 3 hours!

It’s literally a food truck in a mall. You order and pay at the counter, they call your name, you pick up and carry to a food court style seating shared by a few restaurants.

The steak tacos were a little dry, chicken was better since it had the cream sauce, the potato was ok.

Moving on to the cost. 15 bucks plus tax for the 3 tacos. Most of it is probably for the space. Maybe it’s the tipping fatigue making me call this out, but the screen shows up with tips for 15, 20 and 25% for what is essentially a food court meal.

I visited West Coast Tacos today (October 10th) for the first time while in town from another state and was really looking forward to trying their tacos. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing because of how rude the employee was.

When I walked in, there was no line. The guy working was turned around, doing something, but didn’t even look up or acknowledge me once. I waited a bit, then said “hello?” No response. I waited longer and said “hello?” again, still nothing. Finally, when I asked “Can you hear me?” he replied “I’m busy,” without ever turning around or making eye contact.

It was one of the rudest interactions I’ve ever had at a restaurant. A simple acknowledgment or “I’ll be right with you” would have made all the difference. I just left feeling completely disrespected and unwelcome.

Never going back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Terrible attitude and customer service.

I tried the Birria Tacos, and I thought they were pretty good – I would give them an 8/10. They could use just a little more punch of flavor. Consommé was excellent, 10/10 – super thick and grabbed onto the tacos (I don’t like consommé too runny, you don’t get the flavor.)

Limes were cut too small though, difficult to squeeze the juice out. Also the tacos could be a little more crispy. Was overall good though, will be back.

he location is at the Lincoln Square Food Hall South, tucked away past Dote Coffee. First time here and will for sure come back, it is a casual quick order process with great service. We ordered a couple orders of the birria tacos and mexican coke. It was pretty busy for a Saturday and there was plenty of seating but it can get pretty loud. They are neighbors with Seoul Bowl and Wonder Bowl.

Employee working here (white guy) with glasses should be fired. Absolutely incompetent, does not acknowledge customers, and does not take orders. He’s clearly not built for a customer-facing role.at least 4 people in line left because he would not acknowledge them or talk to them to get their orders.

First time here and glad I came. Portions are easily big enough to split. Food is good, service is fast and no scripted nonsense. Really liked it!
Thanks TJ!

Honestly the worst quesadilla I’ve ever had, with service to match. Not sure if it’s gone downhill since the other reviews, or if it’s just hit and miss with who’s working, but I won’t be risking it again.
Took me awhile to realize that one quarter of the chicken quesadilla had no chicken in it. Threw the rest away
