We love West Fifth Kitchen! We stop in almost every time we are in town around lunch and it’s always better than the last. Today we got the Classic Smash Burger with waffle fries and the Gyro with sweet potato fries. So yummy! Not pictured is the pumpkin white mocha I took with me on the road. Delicious!

I visited with my 9 year old son for breakfast on a weekday at 10am. I had the avocado toast with an egg, it was excellent! He ordered the Old Town bowl with eggs scrambled, bacon, and salsa- also very good! Orders are placed at the counter, then you’re given a table number. Your order is brought to your table. The atmosphere was clean, quiet and cozy. We will definitely return!

I LOVE Coffee Hall and have been wanting to try the new location. The sweet potato fries are to die for! They are perfectly crispy and covered in sugar. The beignets were melt in your mouth good, but the fries were honestly better! The brunch burger was fun too. It had your typical egg and hash browns, but also a strawberry jam that made it unlike any burger I’ve ever had. The employees were all friendly and the taco joint next door only adds to the fun atmosphere. It is the perfect blend of classy and simple.

Not impressed. First of all the signage to find this restaurant is elusive and doesn’t match the name on the outside of the building making this restaurant difficult to locate. The only indication that you’re at the West 5th Kitchen is the sign on the back wall on the inside of the restaurant. Next, nobody tells you that they won’t wait on you or bring you a menu, so you have to figure that out on your own once you realize that nobody is going to engage you until you step up to the far end of the order counter. Then, the “Specials” sign on the wall is deceptive to the point that you can’t order what you think the options are and they won’t accommodate even the slightest variation in your request. The vibe is “too cool to be bothered.” I WON’T BE BACK

Excellent breakfast sandwiches. Love that you can purchase Amish items from the cooler. Wish they would bring back the trail bologna.

West 5th Kitchen is one of the best local spots in Marysville. The setup is different from a chain restaurant, and that is exactly what makes it great. Ordering at the counter is simple. The staff keeps the atmosphere relaxed.

The food and drinks speak for themselves. It is a refreshing change from cookie-cutter chain dining and adds real character to the community.

I have really enjoyed the addition of West 5th Kitchen (and also Guelaguetza that shares the space inside the Old Town Marketplace) since opening. Marysville has desperately needed another place in uptown to get breakfast or lunch, and this place is hitting it out of the park!

I’m in maybe two to three times a week. For breakfast for something lite I love the avocado toast – which you can customize with type of bread, egg and such. If I’m hungrier I will goto the Old Town bowl, which is their take of a skillet that just blends all good things together – with your choice of sauce (Peruvian!). They also do take out.

The beverages are top notch coffee and related drinks, as this is a sister place to the Coffee Hall. Also they are adding locally sourced products for sale on their counters and coolers, which is very niced. I’m looking forward to more locally raised farm produce and meats in the next year.

Seating can get a bit cramped, but I feel this is testament to how good it is! They do rely a bit much on disposable trays and cutlery, and I hope that changes. It generates a bunch of waste that in our town of Marysville does not get recycled (this is not West 5th fault but why I give atmosphere a 4 rather than a 5).
