Reviews
The bar has a cozy lounge area where you can sink into a comfortable couch and enjoy a cocktail with your husband. It’s intimate without trying too hard.
After a few drinks in the lounge, we always move to our table and the food absolutely delivers. Every dish is consistently exceptional. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and nothing feels rushed or thrown together.
The staff is attentive and genuinely kind, enhancing the experience without hovering. Service here feels seamless. So If you’re looking for an intimate spot with fair pricing, a warm atmosphere, and consistently outstanding food, this is it.
We had a reservation for 7:30. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:22, understanding that we were a smidge early. We stood at the host stand for several minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. When one of the hostesses finally came over, we were told we would have to wait in the unheated vestibule (it’s November and NOT warm outside), and it would be 45 minutes before they would be ready for us. I’m sorry… WHAT? There was at least one empty table and one table which had just vacated. When we questioned what was going on, we were literally told “Well, if you have a problem…” Excuse me? So they get who I can only assume is the manager, and she comes to tell us that we will need to wait, but only about 20 minutes, and that we are welcome to wait in the bar are (R.G. Books). We go over to the bar and there is no one behind the bar. We waited several minutes items before the ONE bartender finally appeared.
If it weren’t for the fact that the food here is absolutely incredible, we would have walked. Truly, the food was the only thing which compelled us to say. Well… that, and the fact that it’s nearly 8PM and we’re hungry.
The moral of this story, I guess, is just be cautious here. (Oh, and BTW, there’s STILL an empty table. Empty. Empty. Empty.)
Updated to add: when we were Fri ally seated about 25 minutes after our reserved time, we had filthy glassware that had to be sent back. The gal pouring our water had a bigger attitude than a Macy’s parade balloon. And they were out of the one thing we went for. We left. Probably won’t be back.
Not even sure he knew we didn’t get a salad !!!
So very disappointed it was our 21 Anniversary and we chose them and they sucked !!!!
