We came here for dinner, ordered more than enough for 3 people. Appetizers were REALLY good, entrees so-so, we ordered the Beef Fat Chili Oil Noodle, everything tastes good on its own, but the beef and noodle don’t taste like they come together as one dish. Fried rice was pretty good though, definitely recommend to come here for their appetizers!

We had a great first experience trying Taiwanese cuisine here. I was a bit worried about the spice level, but the dishes I ordered—Whole Striped Bass and Lily Fleming Fried Rice—were flavorful without being too spicy. My husband ordered the Three Cup Treasure (clam, squid, shrimp) and really enjoyed it.
For dessert, they only had one option—Fried Tangyuan with ice cream (black sesame tangyuan, condensed milk, and candied peanuts)—and it was absolutely delicious and unique.
The service was very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with our waitress. The space is cute, well-designed, and welcoming. Overall, a lovely dining experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

WOW! Literally Wow. I don’t even know where to start… pretty small area in a pretty boring area of Greenpoint, but A Taiwanese gem! WenWen was recommended by a friend, so I knew I had to try. Upon entering you are greeted by staff and checked-in. We had reservations, so we were seated as soon as our table was ready. We ordered a bunch of things off the menu. We started with the Popcorn chicken and pea shoots. Then the chili oil wonton, and lo ba beng. Then topped it off with the beef fat chili oil noodles. Everything was bomb! I have absolutely no complaints! My favorite dishes had to be… omgosh I can’t decide everything was perfection: I highly recommend you add Wenwen to your list, you won’t be disappointed!

I visited this restaurant on a rainy day, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip to New York! Coming from Toronto, where there’s no shortage of Chinese restaurants, I was truly impressed by how authentic this place is. The beef noodle soup was absolute perfection — rich, flavorful, and comforting. Every other dish we ordered was just as incredible.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. The host and staff were attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was great. The entire experience — from the cozy atmosphere to the delicious food — felt genuinely welcoming and full of heart.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic Taiwanese food or just looking for a satisfying, well-prepared meal in the area. Definitely a must-try!

We visited on Saturday night,1/24. Special shoutout to the lady that ran after us because one of us left our hat on the table. Thank you so much!!!
Everything was great at Wenwen! Food hits the spot! Definitely an elevated experience to 886 on St Marks. Service was obviously great! Will be back soon!

I should have left when the girl came to me and left me with the menu standing at the entrance. Someone else had to approach me to ask if I was being helped and I stood there clueless. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I would typically have left but for reasons I still now don’t know I stayed and had food. The beef noodles was underwhelming but the problem really was the steak. It was cold and tasteless and had something weird tasting in it I had to spit it out and from then on I was done with my meal. Very unsatisfying. Look I think its time to divest off these food influences driven by money. A popular NYC food influencer made me try this place and the fall off is astounding. Never again. Leave it for the neighborhood people but dont schlepp or hop a bus or train to this place. Not worth it at all.

As a Taiwanese, unfortunately this won’t be the place I recommend. It’s selling average food with pricy prices. Not bad but it doesn’t worth it.
Beef noodles were good but you can find it somewhere cheaper or better with the same price.
Fly head was average too. Adding 3 pieces of greens costs $6.

This Taiwanese restaurant has a great vibe with fast service. The food, though a bit salty, is packed with flavor and the portion sizes are decent (wish the apps were bigger)
We went for a weekday lunch, so the menu was limited. While we enjoyed most of what we ordered, the pork chop rice was a miss, and we wished the noodles in the Taiwanese noodle were a bit firmer.
No outdoor seating.

One dish was better than the next! A 10+ on taste, amount and presentation.
Our waiter was so attentive, warm and helpful.
Atmosphere is bomb! Music even better, and not too loud, Watch have a conversation.
