Hello Foodzies, today Glenda and I went to Firehouse Subs in Stone Park at 3124 w North Ave.
The restaurant was clean with both hightop and table seating , it was filled with many firehouse items. The music was of new wave style.
Firehouse subs started in Florida and has franchised into over 1200 restaurants.
Today we spoke to Jaison who owes this location; he and his team were very nice, friendly and helpful.
Their bread is made from their own recipe; we went with the wheat bread and it was soft and delicious. They also offer a gluten free bread.
We tried several different sandwiches: Jamaican Jerk Turkey (smoked turkey breast, pepper jack cheese , lettuce, tomato , onion , mayo, jerk sweet mustard sauce and caribbean seasonings ) it was tasty but for my taste lacked the spice that is associated with Jamaican Jerk.
Club on a Sub (smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, bacon, Monterey Jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and deli mustard) this sandwich was delicious, it offered a sweet and savory taste.
Spicy Cajun Chicken (grilled Cajun chicken breast, pepper jack, jalapeños, lettuce, onion, deli mustard and Cajun mayo) this is my favorite, the chicken was delicious and juicy, the sandwich had a decent amount of heat and also gave you the of sweet and savory.
Firehouse Steak and Cheese (tender steak, provolone, caramelized onions and green bell peppers, mayo and deli mustard) this was a very tasty sandwich and the bread elevated the sandwich.
They also provide a great selectionof hot sauces .
We we also treated to some desserts, the brownies were soft, most and tasty. The cookies were also a sweet delicious treat.

Not sure because it was the day after NYE everyone was dragging but the service was slow, took 20 min for 2 subs, they had no change for a $20, just a really bad experience for first time. I’ll be back cuz the meal was good. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance.

Firehouse Subs in Stone Park is simply incredible! The place has a unique, authentic style that immediately catches your eye – the atmosphere is real, sincere and very cozy. The food is top-notch, tastier than many other similar establishments. Honestly, I would choose them over Subway or Jersey Mike’s any day of the week!
But what impressed me the most was that Firehouse Subs actively supports charity. The realization that your order helps someone in need adds warmth to every visit. That’s why I decided to come here more often. It’s not just delicious – it’s right.

Stone park location I would give them a zero but it wasn’t an option!! My daughter is allergic to mayo , I clearly explained that to them yesterday and today!!! 2 days in a row , yesterday and today they purposely disregarded my request to NOT put Mayo on her sandwich
I get home today and it has ..you guessed it MAYO. The guy on the phone right now rudely told me that I should have checked it!! How about you listen/ follow instructions!!!!!!!! He kept telling me don’t worry I Got You!! Well he certainly did Get me not once but twice.. I will never return there

Biggest fan of firehouse! I’ve always enjoyed in varieties of hundred different spicy sauces, which are rated 1-10 depends on how spicy it is. With corona I believe those sauces are behind the counter. Brisket is the best sandwich ever! So soft, no need to chew

Was greeted at the door,was lunch time. Ordered club on a sub for dine in. Got my drink and had a short wait to get sub. The lady called my name and delivered my food to me. She came back to check if I needed anything. Great service food was good.
