Good decorations inside and outside. The main building not perfect look but inside resturants cool. Fresh and delicious food serving with nice face. They small resturant but pretty busy at dinner time. They are proffessional about asian souces so come and tey strongly reccomended.

Wen’s Kitchen has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in Asiatown since it opened in 2023. Great place to experience unique Sichuan-style dishes that are difficult to find elsewhere (it’s one of the only places in town that I’ve been able to find duck tongues)! Be warned, some of their dishes can be quite spicy!

Some of my favorite menu items:

– Duck Blood Soup
Rich, oily, pickle-infused broth with big cubes of coagulated duck blood. Will warm your whole body up on a cold day!

– Pork Intestine w/ Pickled Radish Casserole
Juicy chunks of pork intestine paired with pungent, salty, pickled veggies; a match made in heaven!

– Sichuan Potato
Crinkle-cut french fries tossed with cilantro, Sichuan peppercorns, and a ton of dried chilis. Basically a Sichuan-infused take on “dirty fries”. Very spicy but also very addictive!

Not going to lie, don’t order Wen’s Special Mix if you are Baizuo. The szechuan peppercorns will mess you up. Mouth and lips numb. Otherwise the ingredients are pretty nice. All the other dishes were amazing. It’s too much of deep cut for Westerners to enjoy. Get the fried greenbeans. You’ll be happy.

We went to Wens with our extended family from Changsha, China. We were headed to the Asian Lantern Festival. Our daughter-in-laws parents are visiting the US and they LOVED this meal. If you want authentic Chinese, go here. It’s a smaller venue, so don’t be surprised if there’s a wait, or you can call ahead for reservations.

Wen’s was not a total WIN for me.
I ordered the “Squid Dry Pot” The food presentation was nice.
Instead of food on a dish the food came in a “serving wok” resting on top of a burner. Very chic. Now as for the food, my “Squid Dry Pot” turned out to be an “Octopus Dry Pot” I know the difference between Squid and Octopus, and this was Octopus. There were no squid rings or small tentacles like when you eat squid with a side of marinara. No sir, these were big pieces of octopus, some as large and long as my pinky finger and tough and chewy to boot. The onions, green peppers, broccoli were nicely done in a spicy sauce and I ate all of them but the “octopus”, well I gave up on that.
I’ll try Wen’s again, but not their “Squid Dry Pot”

Popcorn chicken was pure salt. Completely inedible. Not crispy, just dry and salt. Saltier than anything I have ever tasted before.

This place is newer(opened for 6monthe) Great experience, the amazing thing is when the food came out it was exactly like the what’s shown in menu pictures. Presentation is awesome, quality is very good, portion size are one of the largest in Cleveland Asia town , price is very fair. There are limited seating, it’s seating area is smaller than average, but I would definitely return to this hidden gem.

The food is always amazing and very well priced! Brings me back to China

The atmosphere is minimal, a little cold in the winter, and only 1 waitress but the flavor more than makes up for it!

I recommend getting 3 dishes from the family style section per 2 people; you’ll have leftovers. Rice is included

Wens really wets my whistle! The spicy popcorn chicken was a mix of peppery, juicy and spicy nugs, citrusy peppercorns and dried chilis that has me salivating writing this review. The star was the intestines and pickled radish casserole! This ain’t the green bean casserole aunt Debbie brings to thanksgiving! Wens casserole has sweet and smoky bite sized intestines that burst with flavor and melt in your mouth tenderness paired together with pickled oily veggies that ties it all together. Wens food warms my tummy and satiates my cravings. High recommend.
