When I pulled up to the drive through about 9:55pm on November 25th after ordering a Biggie Jr. Bacon meal, I was informed that there would be a 10 minute wait, which would be 15 minutes if I wanted a chicken sandwich.
Since I had just gotten to town and did not want to have to find another restaurant that was open and close by, I decided to wait. My thought process was at least the wait would mean that my food would be fresh.
Amanda, the person at the window was not very courteous, especially considering the inconvenience that the situation posed to me as a customer.
After receiving my food and driving less than a mile from the restaurant, I learned that I was sadly mistaken. My sandwich was dry and cold, as were my fries. The sandwich didn’t even have lettuce. The chicken nuggets were OK but I was very disappointed by this meal and the overall experience.
It’s not to often that I give a 1 star, but this experience was deserving of it. I would highly suggest that customers find a different location that is more courteous and offers fresher food.
The chicken sandwich was the smallest I’ve ever had, you can see the size in the photo against my hand, and the portion of fries were small with bits and pieces. This cost me $11.77. I’ll never go back here again. Burger King knocks this place out of the ball park. Their TV commercials are obviously deceiving.
The dining room was completely empty. There were only a couple of cars in the drive-thru. Yet I was told to pull forward and wait because they had to “pull fresh meat.” With virtually no customer volume, that explanation suggests operational inefficiency, not demand.
When I received my order, it didn’t appear prepared correctly, and I was not given a receipt. Failing to provide a receipt removes accountability and prevents customers from properly addressing issues.
The location itself feels outdated and poorly maintained, and the service reflects a lack of leadership and oversight. In a competitive area like this, standards should be higher.
I would appreciate someone from corporate reviewing this location’s management, food quality controls, and service procedures. This experience does not reflect what customers expect from the Wendy’s brand.
-Lets start off with Food Safety and Qualtiy:
I ordered just some chicken nuggets from the Drive-thru. They were handed to me cold. The skin on the nuggets was peeling and flopping off wet. They were old nuggets that had been sitting out for hours.
As soon as I left the drive-thru, I immediately walked back into the store. I showed them the nuggets. The manager asked if had been there within the last hour. I said sir, I just left the drive-thru not even 5 minutes ago. The manager inadvertently admitted the food looked disgusting by asking me this question.
-Now let’s talk about the Service:
It took someone about 5 minutes to walk up to counter in store despite not being busy.
-Finally, let’s talk about atmosphere:
I’ve worked in the Food Market for 10 plus years across two different fast food restaurant chains and one grocery store. Every establishment that I’ve worked at strived to provide fresh cooked meals while following positive and healthy food standards.
This store is not doing any of that. Store smelled bad, tables looked nasty, light bulbs were out, so it was weirdly dark in the store, floor had not been mopped the previous night, and the glass pane windows were foggy with people’s fingerprints.
First, the picture on google is wrong. The picture on google is a different store.
The real building is very old and built w/ dirty red bricks. When I ordered hamburger combo, drink machine was totally broken, chair cover for dining table was torn off, store floor is oily and very sticky, no A/C at all and smell inside store is like old attic.
The one thing that stands out was the terrible service I had never seen before at most fast food businesses:
My family stopped by wendys lately and ordered combo set. After paying, we just saw Wendy’s event ads on the internal wall of the store. Since they didn’t put this event ads on the window, only customers who came to the store were able to find that event ads. Right after paying, we turned our bodies and found this event ads which one special set is $7.99 for hamburger, milk shake and French fries. My daughter loved it. Since we just paid on cash register and didn’t receive any food, I requested to get refund the order I made and order the event set instead. I was expecting we can get refund and order new one like other In and Out, McDonald, Chick-fil-a, and Jack in the box.
But Wendys said no refund or new order with store credit. Wendys doesn’t have any interest for customers’ taste but have only interest in making money and profit.
I made determination not to eat any Wendys food any longer and moved to In &Out near their store. I order one set of hamburger, canceled and requested refund for new order for different burger set. Cash register young lady right away processed to put credit back to my card and got new order for new food right away. I tested In & Out with same refund and new order as Wendys: the result was totally opposite. My family enjoyed hamburger at In & Out that night. I explained my terrible service I got from Wendys to In & Out staff and I said to them appreciation for quality services for customers. Yesterday was the last day to go to Wendys. I have been wondering why Wendys store at stone oak parkway always has no customers in dining room. Now, I got the answer why.
Wendys employees and manager at stone oak parkway tried to earn money $12.00 for my daughter’s hamburger set and lost the valuable customer who used to order 12 Wendys hamburger sets for my staff meeting every month or two.
Now I have clear reason to change the fast food company because I completely lost trust on Wendys company.
