Im always extremely polite idk why this happened.
But I’ve also been late at night about half hour before closing time and they come off as the rudest people possible. I had put in a mobile order and pulled up to the drive-thru and nobody would answer. The lights were clearly on and advertised as being open. I called out tried to get somebody’s attention many times and nobody would answer so I pulled up to the window and the staff completely ignored me and put their heads down while cleaning and do anything to avoid making eye contact. What am I supposed to do? Since I put in a mobile order I wasn’t sure if I could cancel it or if they were closed or they just didn’t want to help and decided to close early themselves. After blowing my horn and finally getting the lady I recognize who works the cash register late nights she opens the window and just stares at me won’t even acknowledge or say a word. I asked if she was still open and why it’s so difficult to get somebody to come to the window because I have a mobile order? She said wait let me check and she come back about 10 minutes later with my two burgers missing cheese and the burgers were pulled out of the refrigerator or something because they never saw a grill ( no heat to them what so ever). The obvious conclusion was that they were closing early and cleaning the grill up and rather than letting the customer know that they closed early, they just leave you sitting in the Drive-Thru line without any acknowledgement, no sign…. They will literally just ignore you and waste your time and if you had an online order like I did maybe you’ll lose your money unless you start blowing your horn and make them come to the window. It’s hard to imagine what could cause people to be this rude.
How can customers who are making online orders arbitrarily know when the staff decides to shut the restaurant early with no warning and when you made the effort to drive all the way down to the restaurant they just ignore you? Wendy’s management at this location you really need to get this night time staff understanding who they work for and what the hours are.
