I am writing to formally complain about a very disappointing experience at the Popeyes Chicken location in Fairview Heights on December 23, 2024.
I arrived at approximately 7:16 p.m. and placed my order with a manager wearing a green shirt, as no one was standing at the counter. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and a Pepsi using a code. The person I was with ordered chicken tenders and fries.
After waiting until approximately 7:40 p.m., I approached the counter to ask about my order. The manager on duty stated that they had not had chicken all day and asked who had taken the order. I informed her it was the manager wearing the green shirt. I finally received a refund however the ticket read classic chicken sandwich with potatoes and gravy and a Pepsi. Again I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, fries and a Pepsi.
At that time, my companion was still waiting for his food. When he finally received it and began eating, the chicken tenders were old and dried out, and the fries were cold.
While we were still in the restaurant, the manager was yelling at the crew behind the counter, stating they needed a better system and should be serving customers in the order they arrive. Despite ordering earlier, at least six other customers received their food before we did.
This experience raised serious concerns regarding customer service, order accuracy, and food quality. I am also concerned about food safety given the condition of the food served. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this location.
I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately.

I’m not sure how this happens as busy as this place is every morning. Im glad my daughter didn’t eat her bacon, egg and cheese croissant as soon as I got home. But when she went to airfry it to reheat it she found mold on her sandwich. Im not really shocked with the way this place is run but for a 8$ breakfast sandwich I’d prefer it with no mold.

Haven’t been here in 8 years. But now I see there’s a reason. Little girls at the drive through treated us like we were dumb when they messed up our order. Manager came in and asked to see our bags since we were “missing everything” and came back to ask if there were any more bags we were holding onto. Why would we lie? I was missing the fries, ranch, nuggets and burger… and my baked potato wasn’t cooked all the way- it was stiff and hard. I broke my plastic knife. Yes they eventually got my stuff right but as someone who worked in a fast food drive through- this is by far the worst experience I’ve had and it was very unprofessional and unnecessary. Don’t waste time going to this particular location because they do not treat their customers right even when we weren’t being rude or had any attitude.

Customer service is Terrible!!! The employees show that they don’t want to be working there. This was my 1st time ordering a Baconator and the is the picture of what it’s supposed to look like & this is what I got. Then they gave me an old watered down ice tea…. So DISAPPOINTED

After getting my order wrong, I asked if I may get the correct items. I also asked for a large ice water, was informed that water doesn’t come in the same large cup as a fountain would, I offered to pay the large fountain drink price, and the General manager was extremely rude, blatantly refused to give me a water in the large cup because “water don’t come like dat”. I asked again if I could pay the large fountain price for it and she very rudely handed me what I asked for finally and almost dropped the drink into my vehicle. It’s almost 100 degrees outside, why are we arguing over WATER?? The GM at this location absolutely needs to be obviously retrained on customer service. I’d give her service negative stars if I could.
