Swung by this longstanding Algonquin Wendy’s for to make up for dad’s goof ups with Frosty’s. Without our asking, a kindhearted human at the counter gave my daughter a free toy with our purchase just to put a smile on her face. A rare gesture of customer service in an increasingly depersonalized age of soulless self-service. This is one reason we still go to Wendy’s instead of McDonalds where almost everything is automated and robotic. She said she knows how it is with kiddos. Empathy is a universal language, thank you! Her kind gesture earns five shiny stars for service. Wendy’s is different from when I was a kid. They still serve “classic” chocolate Frosty’s. Now they have Frosty Swirls and Fusions. Swirls have flavored syrups and fusions have syrups plus pieces of candies like Oreos or strawberry pop-tarts, a treat my daughter loved.

My recent stop at Wendy’s was kind of surprising. Even though the prices are still pretty high, it feels like the portion sizes keep getting smaller. I ordered a small Frosty and it was tiny, almost like something you’d get in a kid’s playset. And the fries? They came in these ridiculously small packages that made them look like they came out of a cartoon. It’s frustrating because you end up feeling like you’re just snacking instead of having a proper meal. Even though the food tastes alright, spending $30 and still feeling hungry when you leave is pretty disappointing.

I went to the drive-thru. The AI attendant took my order. It asked me if I wanted to add stuff on. I told it I did not. It canceled all of my items, zeroed my order and told me to pull to the next window which I did..
The girl at the window had no idea what I ordered. And she never will because I’m not repeating it. I’ll go somewhere that has live attendants. Good luck with that business model.

The young gentleman who ran the register today at about noon (at the Algonquin Rd location in the Schaumburg/Rolling Meadows/Arlington Heights area) was fantastic. His kindness and positive attitude were refreshing. My husband and I felt like valuable patrons and we hope this man gets the attention he deserves. Thank you, Sir.

Wendy’s still has the tasty Baconator. Stop in for a frosty as well. Fries could use a make over. Maybe go crinkle fries with a hint of garlic?

Went through the drive through and got my food, when eating noticed chicken was kinda chewy , halfway through found a paper wrapper that was left on the cheese that I ended up eating part of it.

I am a drive-thru customer mostly. I just wanted to compliment the employees and local manager for the politeness and professional work.
The food (hamburgers and salads) is always good including the baked potatoes (when ready).
Thanks Melissa for the help with the recent order.

Great location with newer remodeled inside. Friendly & helpful staff. Comfy & inviting seating. 2 Coca-cola freestyle machines inside. Dine in, order ahead or take out. New French fries are now available.

Food and human service was great. The drive through uses AI to take your order. It’s beyond annoying and screws up constantly. Get rid of this.
