Normally we skip fast food when traveling, but this Wendy’s caught our attention. Since the original restaurant closed, this flagship location now includes a tiny museum with some historical items. The food was just as good as you’d expect, but the service went above and beyond—Alexandria, our host on 09/18/25, made it memorable. The museum itself was a bit disappointing, but anyone who loves Wendy’s or classic American culture will enjoy the experience.

Wendy’s is such a great establishment. It’s fast food. The staff, however, has declined in efficiency and etiquette. I hope they can get that back. I’ll continue yo patronize Wendy’s as long as the food’s quality remains great.

This is one of the nicest Wendy’s we’ve been to. Helpers at Wendy’s are generally nice but Linda went the extra mile and made it the best.
Food was very good and that new triple berry frosty was nice. Best frosty ever!
It also wasn’t freezing. Many Wendy’s tend to be a little chilly.
Whenever we’re in the area we’ll stop by. Hopefully Linda is there.

Wow was service slow. Didn’t expect to wait more than 15 minutes for food when the store had only a few customers and tons of staff like that.
Guess I was wrong in expecting the flagship store to be better than my neighborhood store (not even close).
Do better.

Skated by the Wendy’s building and imagined that’s where Dave makes the big decisions. I was compelled, possessed even, to find the nearest Wendy’s and what do ya know, it’s right there.
A well dressed man walked by when I was destroying this Dave’s Double and with a commanding voice he asked if it was good. I can only imagine it was the COO or Regional Head of Sales or something. Gave an “Amazing”. Where else would you want to be as a free American than having Wendy’s outside on your day off. Could be eating MREs for 2 weeks and hating your life instead, or stuck at home without money to doordash a burger ♂️

This one truly hurt my heart! I worked for Wendy’s as a teen in the 80s and still remember how to build a burger. (White, red, green. White, red, green. Yellow.) I still enjoy Wendy’s, and here I was, about to eat at the flagship store, across the street from corporate HQ. I thought i was ensured to have a truly exceptional Wendy’s experience. In turn, I got a lukewarm chicken sandwich and cold fries. But the Coca-Cola was calibrated perfectly. The service was good, but not good enough to overcome my disappointment. All I can say is “Shamful!” Dave Thomas must have rolled over in his grave from me channeling my thoughts to his spirit. (RIP, Dave: it was a true pleasure meeting you!) C’mon Wendy’s, get your act together. All in all, it was a bust, and I have lost more of what little faith I have for humanity from it.

I was very disappointed with our visit. I had been planning on visiting Wendy’s home location for some time. I expected so much from this location. Yet when my good arrived my fries were almost cold and mostly inedible. I didn’t say anything to the staff because sadly this is my expectation for all fast food locations. I hoped for so much more. I recommend corporate step across the street more often and watch over them better.

Aside from missing one of the 10pc chicken nuggets I ordered and paid for, this moccasin has been trash for quite a while. You’d think with the store being located right in front of the customer service center they’d hire a manager with a respectful and responsible attitude but this couldn’t be further from the truth. One restaurant manager to another, do better. If the ‘manager’ I dealt with tonight was my employee, she’d be fired on the spot for her poor behavior.

Very cool to see the first Wendy’s if you enjoy their food. The lunch service was very good and I thought better than most Wendy’s I’ve been to. The breakfast service was a bit more normal than I would have expected of a prestigious location. The small museum attached was very interesting. All in all, I appreciated the location.

Stopped by for a quick bite at Wendy’s flagship restaurant. Great location, clean and completely empty inside, but long drive thru lines. I always wondering why people wait in very long drive thru lines, then eat inside a car, when inside is not crowded :). Ordered two burgers, but unfortunately one came out cold. 4 stars.
