Wendys at Mt. Sterling, KY. In-line ordering was very slow. Only one line was open. I ordered chicken tenders which looked as if they had been incinerated…another half a minute and they would’ve been cremated. They were extremely tough and dry. They were awful! Absolutely appalled after eating there today. Husband was 3/4 of the way into his burger when he bit into something hard. Pulled it out. Tell me how a BLACK bread tie was in the dressings of his burger. How the employee didn’t see it sitting on top of a bright red tomato. Then when I took it to the counter the little manager dude was like “oh you want a new burger”. Didn’t act like he cared at all. He did refund us for just the burger but we ended up throwing our entire $25 order away because at that point we no longer trusted the food. A little caring and customer service would have gone a long way. At this point we will not be back. That wasn’t just an accidental hair in the burger. It’s a hard piece of plastic with sharp edges and could have caused dental damage or worse if it had been swallowed. Then to have them just be so nonchalant about it…. Yeah we won’t be back.

Poor restaurant so I got there at 5:54 this morning to wait on the restaurant to open up and that’s at 6am and so before I could put my order in online I had to wait until 6am and so I done that well I pull up to the drive through and no employees answered me and I waited in the drive through for 15min and then pull to the window and waited for five minutes before anyone came to the window and so they wouldn’t make my food they told me that they don’t open until 6:30 am but website and the app show 6am and Stephen told me they don’t open until 6:30am and plus told me him and his employees just show up at 6:10 am that’s funny because I was there at 5:54 am and there was four cars out of the parking lot anyway this is so dumb I have never had a problem with this restaurant and at least the one in morehead doesn’t do this dumb shit and plus they wouldn’t refund me my money and they told me I would have to wait until 6:30 but I find it funny that you say you’re machine wasn’t opening that funny because if that was the case my order wouldn’t have went through but y’all need to fix your time zone instead of confusing or wasting ppl time

Went and got the meal of misfortune on 8/21/25 and the younger woman at the window was super sweet,patient, and super understanding when my card was locked and we had to re ring my order up! Got everything I paid for! Very good service and will be coming back!

Don’t visit this location for speed of service. The staff is polite and the food is usually fresh but my average wait in line is ~20min. I’ve frequented this location as part of my commute for over three years. They rarely open the cashiers window. If you’re in a hurry, this location isn’t for you.

If I could give negative reviews I certainly would. Spent $20(+) on 2 burgers at the Mt. Sterling KY location, at 7:00pm on 6-8-2025.. , mine being a Dave’s double. 3/4 of the way through I take a bite and bite into something hard .. open up the burger & here’s what was laying IN the toppings (see pics) .. now a hair I might could say was an accident, maybe a missing pickle… But how does any competent food employees miss this amid the green lettuce, mayo, & bright red tomatoes….? Immediately it dawned on me in fast food you open the buns, & toss the bread tie whereas it’s not going to be needed again due to volume of sales so how did my burger get a bread tie in it? From the floor? From the garbage? Pure neglect to adhere to food safety ?? After bringing it up to the “employee/kid manager” he acted as if it was no big deal. Hus solution? Refund the price of the burger only even though the remaining food was obviously tossed in the trash & after thinking of the possibilities of where it came from I vomited up the portion I had already eaten. I now have to think of what if I had swallowed that sharp piece of plastic? What if a tooth had broken off? What if it were a young child? I’m disgusted with the non chalant attitude & blatant disregard for food safety .. I WILL NOT ever be back & I will ensure all those I know are made aware of this incident.
If any “managers” or corporate happens to read this be aware our order was placed at 6:50 pm on register #1 for a total of $20.18 …host name was Jennifer, manager that we talked with had no name tag….

Stopped here in the afternoon on April 25th for a late (and small) lunch on our way from Tennessee to Ashland Kentucky and everything was great here. We dined inside and the staff were friendly, clean bathrooms, and great food.
We will stop here again in the future.
