This Wendy’s location is awesome! It was a cool modern interior that is always kept clean. They’ve had the automatic drink machine with a multitude of flavor for a while but pushing the touchscreen to select my favorite beverages never gets old. They have gotten the toppings on my sandwich wrong a few times; however, the staff fixes the error each and every time. One of the employees held the door for me as he returned off of his break. Food must’ve been okay-ish, I didn’t get sick from eating there. The drink machine was filthy and tables were not cleaned at all. Staff barely acknowledged customers coming in or standing in front of them waiting to order. The visit to this particular location was only because it was close for the short amount of time I had before being somewhere else. I don’t see myself coming back here. There definitely was enough staff for someone to get out on the floor and clean, especially wipe down that filthy drink machine of theirs.

So, food is good, and I always understand when it’s busy and you have 5 people running the joint. I feel you. I walked in smiled and said hello to the young lady making food (just looking at the screen not actually in the middle of making and order), she looked at me, no response,no nod, and then turned her face away and went right back to looking at the shelf or the screen infront of her. That’s OK, she’s young, naybe a new employee, I get it. The mood was busy, maybe even a hint of frustration coming from the talk of the employees as they hurried to prepare order for the drive thru. However, after the stone look and standing at the counter lo g enough to check out every item the offered ( some where around 3 min went by. Now this is not too bad, but most places would say hello, welcome, or I’ll be with you in a min. I received none of that, so I walked out. Don’t get me wrong, great food and great people, but if you don’t even acknowledge a customer who’s been standing at the counter for a few min, it just does not make you feel welcome. This is by far the worst Wendy’s in the Auburn/Opelika area. It’s not enough that they can’t get an order correct, then you have to deal with rude, nasty, overly aggressive employees. The guy who frequently works drive thru in the mornings, Ian, has a very nasty demeanor and would probably do better not having to deal with customers. No greeting, no thank you, no sense they care about having your business at all. It does kind of make sense because the manager, Mr. Robert, is not much better. One day he asks me to hold on before ordering in the drive thru, which I did without a problem. Then he wants to rush me when it is time for me to order and even got the order wrong, without so much as an apology. I doubt if the company even cares…it’s so apparent, but Chic-Fil-A for the win.

Wendy’s is a great place. It has offered the best meal combos ever! I went there with my grandma after shopping at Dillards. I had a chicken sandwich combo and it is delicious. Great work! Keep up the good work.

Stopped in on around 8:30pm on a road trip, only 2 cars in front of us…. the young man who took our order seemed annoyed and when we asked if we could place a second order he said “no, we are understaffed”… so we had to place the orders together (small order, $30). When we got to the window there was no greeting, and when we were handed our food nothing was said. Gave two stars because we did have everything in our order, although the fries were cold.

Off the beaten path slightly but if you remember how Wendy’s treated you as a kid and how a great meal hits the spot when on the road I recommend this Wendy’s! Clean respectful and doing their part to be clean and covered during the pandemic.
