I guess it’s asking too much for a fast food worker making $15/hour to take an order via the drive through now, because this Wendy’s is using AI to take your order instead of the human being inside.

Yes, you read that right.

You now literally speak into the electronic board like you’re talking to Alexa or Siri. It listens, displays what you said back to you, tries to upsell you, and then completes taking your order.

Sounds great, right?

No, not great, okay?

Not only is it lazy and unhuman, it got my order wrong. Trust me, I did enjoy my cold Jr. Cheeseburger as much as I would have enjoyed the freshly made Big Bacon Classic that I ordered.

Why did this happen?

Because the human who would have normally taken my order would have keyed it in and handed it to me, and would’ve made sure it was correct.

And, he/she would have made sure I got a receipt, which I also didn’t get.

Service has been lacking at this Wendy’s for awhile now, but this will be the last time I come here.

$12 for a cold kids burger and some old burnt ratchet fries because this billion dollar corporation wants AI to take your drive-thru order.

TRASH!

Went through the drive-thru at Wendy’s and discovered that my chicken sandwich was completely raw when I got home and took a bite. I immediately contacted the store—not to rant, but to inform them. As someone who works in customer service for the Walt Disney World Company, I understand mistakes happen, and I made an effort to approach it with patience and professionalism, despite the potential risk to my health.

They asked me to bring the sandwich back in, which meant another trip to the location. My husband offered to go so I could take some Pepto, just in case. When he arrived, they acknowledged the issue and discarded the raw sandwich—but then kept him waiting for quite a while. During that time, the staff repeatedly referred to him as their “favorite customer,” which felt a little off given the situation.

He requested the contact info for the Regional Manager, and the number they gave led to an automated message that said the person was unavailable.

This experience was disappointing—not just because of the undercooked food, but because the resolution didn’t match the seriousness of the situation. I’m sharing this so others are aware, and in hopes that the company takes steps to prevent this from happening again.

As the Pepto settled and my sandwich dreams died, I had to ask myself: If love is rare and chicken should never be—why was mine both?

Quick and Eat drive-thru. They use their new AI Order taker. Super easy to use. Took my order with 100% accuracy. I even threw in a few order modifications and it made it happen!

First time at this location and was very impressed by the quality, cleanliness and superior service. This Wendy location will not disappoint you. I enjoyed the visit with my daughter after a basketball game she played in the area. Keep up the great work.

I come to this Wendy’s pretty consistently and have previously never had an issue, but I had an uncomfortable experience tonight that makes me hesitant to go back again anytime soon.
I went through the drive through and when I got to the window, he lied to me about my order total. I ordered a #1 meal and the screen had said $10.49, but he told me “That’ll be $20.49.” I assumed he had an incorrect order on his screen, so I clarified what I ordered, and he said “Yes, that’s $20.49.” I was completely bewildered and asked “For the one meal?” “Yeah our prices went up this last week,” he said. Having worked in customer service for almost 10 years, I tend to side with employees and give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was still in disbelief so I double-checked the order one or two more times, and he kept telling me the same thing. Finally I said “May I cancel my order?” Only then did he say he was just playing with me. He said he jokes with customers all the time about their order totals to see their faces/reaction.

I didn’t get a name for the employee (or a receipt, actually—I drove away and realized he hadn’t handed it to me and it wasn’t in the bag, either), but I want to try to protect anyone else from the confusion and discomfort I experienced tonight.
He didn’t seem to be truly mean-spirited, but that kind of behavior is not only completely unprofessional, it’s truly unkind. Furthermore, many people are struggling seriously with both finances and food security, so something like this could be a very cruel to some. I’m hoping others are spared this kind of interaction.

I frequently visit Wendy’s in Hamblin because the food is delicious and the facilities are spotless. I went into the restrooms and saw they’d been renovated. The manager’s customer service is excellent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I enjoy having breakfast there in the morning. Kudos to the two ladies who serve me.

Zero stars. Attitude sucks from management. Extremely frustrating experience. My receipt clearly said coffee, yet I was given a soda instead. It’s not complicated. if the order says coffee, provide coffee. Attention to detail matters, and employees should be able to read and fulfill an order correctly.

Good food and great service. On duty manager checked in on us while we were in the dining room to make sure we were ok and even gave my daughter a free cookie. Dining room was clean.

I ordered a Son of Baconator, no cheese, add lettuce. Somehow, that equated to reduced bacon. It seemed they took 1 strip and cut it into 4. Crazy that this was a near $7 sandwich. After this, I’m taking a break from Wendy’s todays food was trash, in my opinion.

This place might be relatively “new” but it’s honestly a $hit $how. It is LITERALLY always filthy. The place today (4/24) was EXTRA filthy with caked on God knows what on the tables and garbage all over the place. There wasn’t even napkins out this time, we literally had to reach by the front and get it ourselves. Service is ok but honestly .. do the drive thru. Do not dine in. I know this is the last time I’ll actually come in.

15 MIN UPDATE: the manager and the employees didn’t seen to care that 3 different people came in with complaints. They all seemed pretty content too.
