Good food, but expect an unavoidable 20-30 minute wait, even if you placed a mobile order. Staff have good personalities but the wait is pretty frustrating if you already placed an online order for a $10 order. You have to wait through the whole drive through line, they don’t have the “car delivery” option like McDonald’s and their lobby is currently closed.

I ordered off of the app. I followed all prompts. When I pulled up, I went to the speaker and gave my name and said it was an app order. I waited over 30 minutes to receive $20 worth of food, and only 3 vehicles were in front of me. It was not lunchtime and not busy inside. The staff in the window was supposed to be off that day, but they had a staffing issue, and he had no clue about app orders. Frankly, no one there seemed to. I was told I needed to park and come in, but I had my blind, deaf, Autistic client in the car, and that would have been even more stressful than the food not being ready. When I said no, I would not, the staff didn’t know how to handle it and told me other people needed to pick up their orders. So I suggested I pull up, and they bring it out to me. They still looked confused but said okay. Even after going to the pickup window, I waited 15 minutes for 2 burgers and 2 orders of fries. 3 other cars came and left before I got my food. While the employee was apologetic and blamed the staffing issue, there was literally no excuse for this type of service. Unless my client requests to go here, I personally will NOT be back. So sad after the remodel, I had hoped they would have gotten it together by now.

My grandson had a fit for chili, he is 6. We were on 64 heading to Lynchburg, so I had to navigate toward downtown. This location has been here for, good grief, as long as I can remember, 30 years maybe. I went through the drivethu which was relatively quick and both employees I interacted with were super kind. I ordered 2 sour creams and was given 2 sour creams 🙂 I pulled into a spot and prepared a serving and handed it to the car seat customer in my back seat and he was very happy.

Got my order wrong. Was rude to me at window. Gave me a spicy chicken but I ordered a pretzel pub chicken(more expensive) bought 3 6 piece nuggets and I didn’t get any of them.

Since the remodel, you can’t go wrong with this location. They have retrained and hired new staff that are customer service oriented and knowledgeable about the menu.

I’m sitting in the drive thru at the moment, as it’s the only option available. The line is wrapped around the building and hasn’t moved in 15 minutes. This happens quite often and I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt… Hire more workers, pay them well and staff appropriately or close altogether. This is ridiculous.

The downtown Wendy’s got a remodel recently (2023), it’s a very nice building with a painfully overworked staff. The food was hot and tasty and the facilities were clean.
