This Wendy’s on Main Avenue in Clifton has the decided geographic advantage of being just across the street from two shopping hubs, Kohl’s Plaza and Clifton Commons. It’s also just below Route 3. However once inside, there is nothing superlative about the place. I found the food to be somewhat undercooked, and most sodas to be semi flat. A good service sometimes is not enough to offset a substantive lacking product.

The food was good. About what you’d expect from Wendy’s. The staff was also. The problem for me is THEY HAVE NO TRAYS. It wasn’t that they ran out or forgot to give me one. They don’t provide them at all. It’s just off putting to eat with nothing between your food and the table but a burger wrapper. Fries inevitably find their way onto a questionably cleaned table. I’ve never seen this before.

I try to be even handed with my reviews but if I could give negative stars for this Wendy’ s I would. The best I can say is the place looks clean. My orders are always wrong- wrong when they post it on the drive through – wrong when i go inside- I have to open everything that is wrapped and get it redone. And like many places they are so worried about the pick up orders that the customers standing right at the counter are ignored and the food comes to you cold. I would mention the service but there is no service given to say anything good about.

The second window killed the entire Wendy’s vibe that night. I ordered a salad with Grilled Chicken and a sugar cookie. I had to ask for salad dressing, black pepper and a fork. They didn’t have black pepper so the young lady says, “we’re out of black pepper…do you want salt instead?” ♀️ I wish I had the receipt to attach to this complaint.
