Unfortunately my experience at this location has been to dissatisfaction.
I came to this location last year when I spoke to one the food preps (cook) when grabbing my usual drink from starbuck across the street as a recommend location to eat. This was around the time sardi had just open.
The first time I visited i order some pupusa , 3 to be exact. While the exterior of the the pupusa looked plump it was mostly compiled of masa and extremely greasy. The mixed chicaron (pork) was rather Lacking in bits.
My visit today (2/5/26) vs (11/21/25) was rather disgusting. I came today and order two items. First one was a carne asada and the 2nd was a single mixed (cheese/pork) pupusa. After placing my order I asked the lady in the front about some ketchup package for eating the steak. I received some sause packages and noticed the package are bloated indication of spoilage (factor can be improper storage aka thermo shock, microbial growth, chemical reaction from ph of ketchup mixing with the aluminum package). I open four package and tasted it and it was rather rancid. I got up and explain to her that this rather health saftey issue that that she should discard these 4 and along side the ones on the counter. She said okay but proceeded to throw away only the four I gave her. Yuck! . After some time of waitng I finally received my order. For starters the the steak was severed cold less then room temperature and was stiff so stiff that the plastic provide utensils could not live up to the challenge and cut the steak. I had to resort to primal instinct and eat cave man style. The pupsua was same as my first visit with the exception of grease this time that was much cleaner. Unfortunately there is some ongoing cross contamination as these are hand made (see photo) see they are multitasking without washing or cleaning hands. Within the pupusa masa was embedded a green piece of something. This clearly indicates that they made this right after prepping another person order without Rinse it cleaning cook surface area. There is absolutely nothing worth it about this place should you try the rice it is reheated and not fresh. The salad is also at near end of shelf life(browning). With disgust I would not recommend anyone to visit this location. It also seem like the guest in front of my table left with out finishing his food aswell (see photo with fish)
We had the privilege to visit El Salvador a few years ago and I haven’t found a place with authentic pupusas until this place. They’re stuffed with filling and so soft, perfect texture and taste. Reminds me of the fresh pupusas you get on the roadside or markets.
Their tomato sauce (salsa roja?) is phenomenal- get extra because I drank them straight from the cup. The cabbage salad (curtido?) was also amazing. Both pair so well with the pupusas.
There are many vegetarian options. We loved loroco con queso, frijoles con queso, jalapeno (quite spicy!). The hot Cheetos pupusas was fun to try but we will skip next time.
The people are friendly, kind, and greet you with a smile. They helped me with finding vegetarian options.
The store was beautiful and impeccably clean.
I only wish I lived closer!! Quality food at an unbeatable price!!
The Sopa de Frijoles con Costillas de Res was flavorful and the beef was tender! Good portion for around 15$. The Birria tacos were good as well but extremely spicy. The Bistec a lo Pobre isnt the best meal here. Some items on the menu are great and some are subpar. Also expect to wait a bit.
