I come from a German background, I spent summers with my Grandparents in Germany. Wellers is the REAL DEAL and better than some places I’ve eaten at in Germany ! It was so good, we had lunch there twice in three days while visiting Utah. Their schnitzel is beyond delicious! The Käsepätzle was divine! Our server Trajen was fantastic; very attentive, funny, and engaging. As my sister said in a previous review, too bad we live 2000 miles away, but I will be back!

My mom is German. I have grown up on German meals and have been to Germany many, many times. I have never found good German food in the US (unless it’s my mom’s cooking) and I have tried many places. Weller’s is the real deal! THE BEST German food I’ve ever had in the US and it beats out some of my favorite places in Germany. The service was impeccable. Ether was so attentive and kind. Atmosphere was really cute. Would love to see it in the Spring with the patio open. I’m so sad that we live 2,000 miles away.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and very friendly bartenders. I loved all the different mushroom options, the seasonal mushroom soup of the day and the mushroom toast were unreal. I also enjoyed the Hühnerfrikassee and the Reuben, which came with some of the best brussels sprouts around.
The Maracuja martini was like nothing I’ve ever experienced, it had this smoothie-like texture but went down so smooth and way too easy. Such a unique drink.
The space itself feels like a warm, well-rounded, hearty place—almost like elevated European comfort food. Great place for dates or a solo outing sitting at the bar. The vibe was warm, and the servers were so polite and so sweet.
I can’t wait to go back and get those brussels sprouts all to myself and try the pierogies next time

We really enjoyed Weller‘s bistro. The food was all excellent. I got the goulash, which had unbelievably tender meat, Spätzle which was really yummy and I substituted the sauerkraut for their brussels sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were top notch. My group got the burger and fries, which were good; the spaetzl which was amazing, and the Rotkohl (red cabbage and apples), which was raved about incessantly. There’s a reason this place has a line, so if you’re planning on coming, try and make a reservation. The only complaint is free parking is hard to find.

Absolutely love this place! The food hits every time, the atmosphere wraps you up in warmth, and the staff treats you like one of their own. I’m always excited to see what the weekly lunch and soup specials will be. Counting down the days until the dill soup comes back!

This place had a little bit of a wait, totally worth it. Portions were magnificent, took home another meal. I just added this restaurant to my monthly rotation in Ogden. Well worth it, anybody who likes this kind of comfort food come and get it. Also, they had great German import beers, including this smoky beer from Bamberg. I was in Germany two years ago and had that beer then, these guys are excellent and very authentic. Enjoy.

Everything we had was amazing. Kinda wish there were smaller plates so you could try more of everything. The pretzel appetizer was better than expected! The lemon sauce for the schnitzel was amazing!

There’s good parking all around. Food has always been good at the Layton place, first time here. It’s a quiet atmosphere. Great German food. I got the Burger (there’s only one) and he got the pork chop special.

So very excited to have this location now open in Ogden. If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying their Layton location you need to get into one of these spots!
Hands down the best German food I’ve had in Utah!
The ingredients are fresh and carefully thought out to maximize flavor. The kitchen and wait staff are always pleasant and concerned that you enjoy your visit.
