This German restaurant is absolutely incredible. The food deserves five stars, it tastes just like real German food, the kind my grandma used to make. Every dish felt authentic, comforting, and made with care.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to restaurants, so finding a place like this is rare for me. Everything we ordered was amazing, and I’ve included photos of all the dishes because they truly speak for themselves.

I was especially surprised by the pizza. I didn’t expect much from it, but it turned out to be just as outstanding as everything else. This place exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can’t wait to come back.

Had a great experience dining at Wellers in Ogden. Had the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and enjoyed it every last bite. My husband and I lived in Germany for a a few years so we can be quite particular when it comes to German cuisine. The food brought us right back though! Seasoning was fantastic and I’m looking forward to trying more items on their menu.

Our waiter was friendly and accommodating and the upstairs bar area was a great place to hang out and have dinner. Will definitely be becoming regulars at Wellers!

Went here for the Valentine’s Day special. Me and my wife are no strangers to the location in Layton. The food is always good. Full stop.

The valentines meal was no exception. This restaurant serves meals that feel right at home in a fine dining menu but at a working man’s budget. Portions are great. This is maybe the best restaurant north of Salt Lake City.
The normal menu is great but the weekly specials I’ve found to be where it’s at.

My only complaint is that the phone is located in the hostess stand at the Ogden location, which on valentines rings non-stop. Being seated near that spot means that dinner conversation is near impossible.

Also your Layton location had mussels on the menu once for an appetizer. Please bring it back.

Tonight was my first time eating here. Wow was it absolutely amazing. Taylor was my server she was amazing and attentive. The food was by far the best German food I’ve ever had. The cozy bar was very welcoming and getting to see into the kitchen was an amazing decision. I already want to try several more things and I just left. I will be back and I’ll be bringing others. Sooo goood! One of the best spots I have eaten at in general!

Fantastic German Food like we used to get in Chicago. Spaetzle and Schnitzel, Brussels sprouts and Reuben are all highly recommended. Servings are very generous. Restaurant is clean and servers are knowledgeable and attentive. Glad we googled good restaurants in Layton to find this gem. There’s one in Ogden we knew nothing about and it’s close to home. Will try that one next time. What are you waiting for, go eat!

It is rare to come across a German restaurant, and we were so lucky to have Weller’s recommended to us.

We loved the decorations, the food, and the service. The chef even came out to make sure everything was to our liking.

I highly recommend you to try Weller’s.

I’ll start off by saying that we were really excited to try Weller’s for the first time, as everyone recommends them on Reddit and Facebook as some of the best German food in all of Utah. We just so happened to be in the Layton area for something else and took the opportunity to get a to-go order so we could finally be a part of their fan club. Unfortunately, after having to go inside 3 separate times and wasting 20+ minutes trying to figure out why the side dish we ordered wasn’t correct on two separate tries, we were quite turned off by the whole experience. The pricing discrepancy issue and incorrect item would’ve also been more readily apparent upon pick-up had the receipt actually been itemized.

The German Pizza’s flavors were great, but probably would’ve been even better if it hadn’t have cooled to room temp by the time we actually got to eat it.

I understand having new staff, but I explicitly stated I wanted the potato salad (with mayo, apples, peas, etc), but we were given some kind of lettuce salad with apples, who knows what cheese, an interesting vinegrette, and tomatoes (which I’m allergic to); the lettuce salad we were given wasn’t on any of the menus I looked at for either location. Then, we were given a hot potato salad of some kind— also not correct based on their online menu’s description. When a chef finally came out to see what was going on, he informed us that the potato salad we wanted wasn’t a part of their current menu and they had switched to a winter menu. One would think that during a menu update that they’d update all versions of the menu, especially online. Clearly they had most of the ingredients to make this “summer” potato salad, but we ultimately left without a side, and a *lot* of wasted time.

Really bummed that we didn’t get the kind of experience that others rave about, and they could’ve saved everyone involved a lot of time and food waste had they simply trained staff better and had updated menus online (the Ogden menu is still on the “summer” menu as well). Honestly don’t think the pizza is worth another hour-long drive to try them again; it was good, but not THAT good; lol.
