Well stocked with a variety of baked goods, including vegan and gluten free options…so good you won’t notice the difference! Their quiches and coffee cakes are hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. The raspberry sour cream coffee cake is so good, I got a second piece to go.

The 15ft case of baked goods and desserts is full of great options. Cookies, muffins, croissants, huge eclairs, baklava, cakes, creme brulee and more. Savory food options too, like a quiche, bacon and egg biscuits and breakfast burrito. The coffee service has all the traditional choices: drip, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, chai. We’ve been a couple times over the years when traveling north of Asheville, and always a great experience. The decor is cozy, old-world charm with marble table tops and wooden chairs.

We ended up ordering 4 sweet treats and two lattes.
All pastries were delicious. So, I grew up in Europe, and this was about the best I have had in the US. Well done!!!

Food, desserts and coffee were excellent. I had the regular chicken salad croissant with broccoli salad, cappuccino, and got a chocolate chip macaroon to go. The inside is cute but small. Would be more challenging for wheelchairs or strollers.

I just can’t rave enough about this bakery. We stopped here while traveling to visit with a local friend. We tried multiple items and they were all great, even the coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful, the setting was very comfortable and welcoming. If you are ever traveling through the area please give this bakery a try, they deserve your business. You won’t be disappointed.

We looked up local bakeries and found this awesome place! We stayed in a rental in Alexander N.C. which is a short drive to Weaverville, N.C. we ordered a caramel cream cake for our son’s Birthday. We ordered a week ahead of our arrival and Sarah took my order. Ordering was easy and we picked up with no issues. Our son is not a big cake fan but he loved this one and we all went back a few days later to try more treats. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Not pictured was a chocolate orange cookie that was yummy, crispy outside and soft goodness inside.

My husband and I along with our son stopped here to check out the pastries as I love anything sweet. There was a short line but it moved quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A very pleasant young man took our order. One of the locals standing beside us in line recommended the mountain eclair so we did order one along with a variety of cheesecake, cookies and a couple of pies. We waited just a few minutes for our order to be packed up. The inside is very charming with lots of wood and marble. I liked the open display case, so that we could see all of the pastries. Every single item we ate was delicious, and I would definitely recommend visiting this bakery anytime you’re near Asheville or the surrounding towns. The bakery is very clean, the staff is very nice and seem to work well together, and all of the food we had was excellent! 10/10!!

Super cute bakery/cafe with delicious food! A little expensive, but totally worth it. Lemonade was delicious (slightly tart and deeply refreshing), Italian Ciabatta was delicious, BLT was delicious (though they were out of the wrap option, no biggie), grilled cheese was delicious (expected), both chicken salads were delicious (the original chicken salad had raisins, also no big deal), eclair was delicious, the only dish that left desire was probably the creme brulee, and even it was pretty good. Seriously, it’s like almost everything I bit into left me saying “best _______ I’ve ever had”. Couldn’t recommend higher.

I’ve been here several times while visiting my brother, and every time the food at Well-Bred amazes me just as much as the first time. Their quiche is wonderful, their brunch/lunch options are all delicious, and the sides for the brunch/lunch options are all treated as important rather than an afterthought. You can tell the food at Well-Bred is made with love. Prices are affordable, especially for the quality. Service is efficient and polite. There is outdoor seating for if you want to bring a furry friend.
