I happen to be in the area and I was in need of snacks and lunches for a day out on the water fishing. I remember this place from a few years back when I used to take a ride with some of my friends to grab something to eat, drink and hangout. they have a nice little parking lot, very friendly staff, lots of food. if you like ethnic bodegas this place is definitely a good place to stop for food.

Use to be a decent spot. New owners hot foods variety is limited compared to previous owners , prices spike, quality drops. Egg sandwiches were 5 bucks. They took over, 6 bucks. Order with toogoodtogo spent about $10 although it was 2 platters an empanada and a taquito it still wasn’t worth the money the taquito was the only thing good the empanada was literally empty just an oil soaked air filled shell, the rice and beans was flavorless, the pork was dry , the spaghetti was over seasoned and the egg had a weird texture

After eating here for over 15 years and being a loyal customer, yesterday 9/29/21 was my last day eating there. I am 8.5 months pregnant and I ordered my usual breakfast sandwich. After 3 bites I felt something hard and pulled this out of my mouth. It’s the metal twist that keeps bread fresh. This was in my sandwich. Metal. Which ingested could have seriously caused me and my unborn child severe harm. I called and spoke with the lady who was extremely apologetic but also said that the workers simply do not care. I was shocked to hear her make this admission to a customer but at the end of the day I’m glad she solidified what I was already thinking. This was careless. Sorry weirs hasn’t been the same since Jose left. I won’t be a customer moving forward.

I honestly have to say that this store sucks!!! I tried the food and it’s terrible and it seems as if they don’t seem to have certain items available. I’m always kinda disappointed each time I go over there. And the females are very snotty and disrespectful to a point that I really don’t like coming back to the store. Plus I’ve tried better Dominican food. No offense. I’m no way shape or form, trying to insult others because I approach those with respect and don’t need to be rude for no apparent reason. Whatever!

This is a very good neighborhood deli. They have hot and cold food prepared with good service. The staff behind the counter are always very respectful and accommodating. If you ever need that quick (dont feel like going to the supermarket) kind of purchase, Weirs has everything you need to get through your day.
