We stopped at Weckerly’s in a desperate attempt to escape the Philly heat and humidity. This summer has been BRUTAL. The dew point has been running it up like a 2006 Kobe Bryant. 35.4 points a game in 2006!? Kids these days could never understand…

We walked into a pretty packed shop, as ice cream is a high dew point’s only known weakness. The first flavor I locked in on was “Tomato Strawberry Sorbet w/ Candied Olives.” I just stood there staring at it, rereading it. Taking it in. What kind of flavor is that?? Tomato and Strawberry together???

It was the only tub of ice cream that was untouched. Naturally, I had to try a little spoon of it. I wanted to go where no one else from the human race had gone. I felt like Neil Armstrong allegedly stepping foot on the moon.

Before trying, I asked the employee how this flavor even came about. She said “I don’t know, our chef just comes up with them and tries them out…” How could I not respect that? Food is such a sneaky creative endeavor. You can really have some fun with it.

As the spoon approached my mouth, I was ready to cringe due to my tastebuds being violated, but it was honestly pretty fire. The light tomato flavor complimented a strong strawberry taste. Two things I would never have thought went together. There’s a life lesson in there somewhere.

I ended up just getting vanilla soft serve though, because that’s my goto. I’m a simple guy. It was pretty mid, I should have just got a scoop of that tomato strawberry sorbet w/ candied olives but hindsight is always 20/20.

Their ice creams aren’t the creamiest, but they do their flavors so well. I sampled a few flavors and honestly had a hard time deciding because they were all so good and actually tasted like their descriptions. The single scoops are only 1 flavor but they’re a pretty good size. Also, the menu doesn’t reflect the new prices. It’s 5.99 now, not 4.99 like their menu says. They’re able to update their flavors but not the price hmmm The woman scooping was super sweet though! She was really helpful explaining the flavors, and she was apologetic when I asked her why the charge was higher than what I thought it’d be for a scoop. I’m a fan of the flavors and the customer service, not so much the deceptive pricing…

Local ice cream shop with really unique flavors. Good consistency, and nice size of add-ins (cookies, dough, fruit etc). Decent size scoops. Would eat here again.

Dubai chocolate is the best! my husband loved his caramel cheesecake flavored ice cream (chunks of caramel). Some of the best ice cream we have ever had! Best tasting waffle cone too. Light and had a slight touch of cinnamon or boom sugar maybe. Im not sure!

Excellent, highly recommended. Came here early evening on a Tuesday, no line and took ice cream sandwiches and popsicles to go. Lemon sandwich and then the Butterscotch sandwich and Mango passion fruit popsicles. The most quiet, peaceful, bland, non ice cream looking shop. Oh well, the food counts. Yummy!

I came here thinking it was a regular ice cream place, but the flavors are a little *odd*… that being said, I really liked what I ordered. I’ve been back a few times and I do wish they have some more *normal* flavors to choose from (like who on earth wants bacon in ice cream?), and it’s a little more expensive than it probably should be, but overall I like this place.

Best. Ice Cream. I’ve. Ever. Had.
I have yet to try the ice cream sandwiches, but the ice cream is out of this world. The hot fudge is outstanding. So many different flavors every time we go, they are always changing it up. If you’re in the area, it’s a must stop!

Really disappointed with how the business has changed with the new owners. Every year I always buy the valentine’s day box. This year I wish I didn’t. First off the flavors were all basic vanilla unlike previous years where each sandwich had its own unique flavor blend, but I decided to give this box a chance. When I went to pick up the box on February 12 at 3:30 the doors were locked even though their business hours were 3-9. I tried calling only to be met with a recording and no opportunity to leave a voicemail. I come back the next day and pick up the box much later to where they didn’t even ask me my name for the preorder. I really could have walked in got a box for free. Then I open the box and I get even more disappointed. They look nothing like the picture, the writing looks rushed and the flavors are boring. Here I provided pics of what it should look like versus the ones I received.

They have an average amount of flavor options, however the prices are pretty cheap. They definitely have unique flavors and good options but it seemed a bit confining. Serving size isn’t bad but I’d say on the smaller side (scoop wise). I Would give it a try but it’s not urgent.
