My wife and I came here last year during our honeymoon and were very impressed with the bagel and drink selection. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We are back in town just shy of our one year anniversary and came back again for breakfast. Their selection is really nice and although there is a bit of a wait, it is definitely worth it!

I am a local, I love supporting small businesses, and I want this place to succeed, but I have not had good experiences recently. I have been going here since the place first opened, and since there is now apparently new ownership I have noticed several issues.
-They are almost always understaffed, and the waits are consistently longer than they should be in my opinion.
-The restaurant itself is kind of messy and dirty, like it isn’t regularly swept or wiped down.
-The bagel I got recently (I order the same one every time – the Early Riser) was so hard I could not bite through it. It was clearly frozen and then thawed improperly. (I got a coffee that was delicious, though.)
-I think this location used to make their own bagels (hence the name of the restaurant) but they have started purchasing bagels from elsewhere and bringing them in to use – I read this in the business’s written response to another review.

I think this place could benefit from increased staffing, some staff training to maintain standardization and consistency in food preparation, and better quality ingredients. Also, maybe a consultant to come in and spruce up the place? Make it look a bit more appealing? I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend this place to any visitors – not how it is operating currently anyway. I hope it improves. I will go back and try it again soon.

Super cool little bagel shop, even has a “candy vault” with 90s themed candies in it. Was cool to look through! They have done well decorating the place, the food is pretty tasty too! Thank you!

Had a wonderful experience at this little cafe. Though i can only really speak about the coffee, the server was very accommodating and service oriented. She quickly remade a chai tea that was a bit too sweet for us. It has a great atmosphere and an added bonus is that it was an old Bank and has a real vault inside.

Wow! The service was fantastic! There was only one employee working but she managed a line of people and orders with ease. We ordered the Mack Daddy and Jeti sandwiches. Delicious! Would definitely eat here again.

We came down for lunch and coffee during a day at the children’s museum. There was just one girl working, so it took a minute, but she was so nice and did a great job. My husband got the Mac Daddy, and I had the Island Boy. Both were wonderful!! There was also a bank vault with candy.

1st time visit today. Really wanted to love it. But I just didn’t. Service was not very friendly. Understaffed for a Saturday morning. Coffee was very weak & bagels were hard. Bagels should not be hard. Especially on a sandwich. I don’t get the hype. Would not return. If you prefer a chewy NY style bagel or a steamed bagel skip it.

Good bagels, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. They had board games there, and my friend and I played scrabble while we ate our bagel sandwiches and sipped our coffee and tea. 100% recommend it!

Worst bagel sandwich we ever encountered. We could not even eat it. The bagels had been frozen, the premade egg was cold. We are simple people that eat what we order and try not to waste food. We threw both of our sandwiches away after two bites. Plus, they had a baby back where they were making food and the baby was being held at one point as drinks were being made.

Very nice little bagel shop! Went during the Bigfoot Festival and it was pretty busy so I was a little nervous about the wait, but we ordered and had our food out to us in less than 10 minutes.

Photos are of the Wake ‘N’ Bacon and the Early Riser, one thing to note is that the egg they put on there IS hard boiled and not freshly made, but that didn’t diminish the taste whatsoever! Really really good and they offer lattes, baked goods and cake pops as well, which I wasn’t expecting!
