Sunday night wandering Walnut Creek and came across WC. It was empty. We said new restaurant- we should try it and give them some business.
We walked in. Football game blaring on the tvs over the bar. Manager lounging at a table watching football. Server hovering about.
Us: “Are you serving dinner?”
Manager: looks put out that we are interrupting his game, looks at his watch – said something affirmative and stood up and meandered back to kitchen.
Server said to sit wherever so we found a table behind the tvs because we aren’t into football especially during a nice dinner.
Once we sat down, tv was very loud. When we ordered drinks we asked her to turn tv down. Manager had returned to his chair in front of the game. They didn’t turn it down.
So we ate the appetizer we ordered and left.
When we gently explained that we didn’t feel welcome and that we didn’t want to listen to football while we ate, she said it’s just that the manager likes football. Usually they have music but since they didn’t have any customers they were watching tv. She said we should come back a different day when they would be different.
It was a disappointment.

This is my second time at this gem! Definitely has become my go to dinning restaurant. Every dish I have had tasted the same as the first which was amazing! I started my experience with a cocktail which was perfect! The garlic bread is to die for! My favorite dish is the Parmesan Fettuccine very good and a must have! The Pesto Chicken Sandwich is very tasty too! The service is what I expect when I’m dinning out! Perfect spot for a date night or just hanging out. I’m a foodie, and dine out regularly! Definitely will be back!

Place just opened a week ago and we got the chance to talk with the owners while we tried all the cocktails on the menu (literally), and it was a magical experience. Open doors all around givng you an outdoor, venician ambience, along with unique cocktails, and a 5 star food menu, this place did not disappoint. Perfect for any occasion. Will be back for sure.

My wife and I went to the WC Kitchen & Bar in Walnut Creek two weeks after it opened
The owners Greg and Seffie (and Nicolas the bartender) made us very welcome. We had a very enjoyable evening. The menu was quite extensive and innovative. Our dinners were tasty and well presented. There were good dessert choices. We plan to return soon for lunch to try the oysters.

This place was a huge disappointment for my husband and I. We went for our anniversary. No special gestures or mention of anything despite mentioning it on our reservation. When you walk in, there is dance club music blasting. The whole thing was odd.

Then there’s the food… which honestly could be better prepared by my 11 y/o. Flatbread looked like a microwave meal with unmelted cheese. Cauliflower app that owner boasted is a favorite tasted like maple syrup with zero spice, despite claiming it was spicy. Apparently the owner created all of the recipes himself. The only redeeming qualities of this new restaurant were the bartender, who served us majority of the evening, the cocktails and the breaded chicken.

Overall, a memorable experience in all the wrong ways. I can’t imagine this place lasting in Walnut Creek considering there are so many gems nearby that provide quality food for the same price. I was led astray by the good reviews and gave it a shot, but we were sorely disappointed. Won’t return.

the owner is a real hells kitchen episode I went there for a business meeting. The owner was hovering over us the whole time. Then he decided we were taking too long and actually removed the cup of duck fries from the table and left the check. we were still eating them and the restaurant had at least 5 empty tables. The guy was creepy and rude I dont recommend but the staff were friendly I feel really bad for them

This is my new favorite place to be! The ambience is so amazing. Such a great, new, vibe to downtown Walnut Creek. Nicolas the bartender was very attentive and made great drinks! The owners Greg & Seffie were so down to earth and good people! This place has such a great tasting variety of food, craft cocktails, and wine.

WC Kitchen & Bar is a fantastic new spot in Walnut Creek. Greg, the owner, really nailed it with delicious food, creative drinks, and an amazing atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and attentive, which makes the whole experience top notch. A must visit.
