Service always friendly and with a smile.
Food comes out fast and so tasty. Full of flavour.
The Summer Rolls, one of my favourites on the menu.
The Egg Coffee is delicious!
If you’ve never had it… Why not?
It’s like a tasty (not overly strong) coffee with kind of a light, mildly sweet custard on the top. It’s perfect even as a light liquid dessert, if you like. And no.. it doesn’t taste eggy!
Overall, a poor experience. If you’re planning to have lunch here during a workday, you might not have enough time, and I definitely won’t be going back.
(the tofu summer rolls come as 4)
Absolutely delicious, friendly staff and amazing service even during peak lunch period.
I ordered the tofu summer rolls with a hoison sauce which had crispy onions on top which I licked clean.
For mains I had pork & prawn noodles with veg, the pork blew me away, deliciously cooked and when I come back I’ll definitely be ordering another pork dish.
Helen was so lovely and welcoming – she even gave me a few recommendations, so the service was excellent and quick.
As for the food: absolutely delicious! I had the lemongrass beef baguette and prawn summer rolls
I’ll definitely be going back soon to try the pho next!
We came in and the place was very busy but quiet with a really nice atmosphere. We were sat at a table quickly and had our orders taken.
Shame that it took over an hour for my Mum’s meal to come, which she had ordered an omelette. My food came cold after waiting for one hour, we also waited 30mins for English tea and a bottled drink.
I understand that today you are very short staffed, it seems, but the wait time and the service is ridiculous and people seemed to be waiting there for over an hour before we even sat down.
Even delivery people were told the wait was around 10minutes and they were waiting a similar time, 30 minutes or so, for delivery!
Please do better, if you are short staffed do not take in delivery orders as well as takeaway and eat in orders as it is clearly too much for just one person at the counter.
we will not be coming back.
It’s a lovely environment because today is one of the staffs birthday. Forgot to ask her name. Birthday cake and sing to the special girl. Bday cake had shared all the customers in the restaurant. It’s not about the cake. I feel the team spirit is good. Staffs are helpful and very nice. We will for sure visit again.
The food quality was inconsistent, starting with the chicken wings. They were drastically overcooked and dried out. The crispiness came not from a perfectly rendered, glazed finish, but from being fatally overcooked, resulting in a brittle, dry texture instead of a juicy interior. This lack of finesse turned what should have been a flavorful appetizer into a greasy disappointment.
Furthermore, we were profoundly let down by the service and kitchen management. Despite being one of the very first customers of the evening/lunch service, a primary item—the Curry—was already unavailable. We didn’t receive any adequate apology or explanation for this oversight, which only compounded the feeling of poor value. This is unacceptable, especially considering the higher prices, and suggests poor inventory management or a lack of preparation before opening.
Adding to the disruptive experience, the staff initiated a seating rearrangement during the service. This was loud and intrusive, significantly disrupting the atmosphere and our attempt to enjoy what little good was left of the meal. In a restaurant with these price points, I expect the focus to be entirely on the guest experience, not on audible, internal logistics during dining hours.
Ultimately, the high prices at Cafe Sen, combined with the poor execution of basic items, the immediate unavailability of key menu options, and the disruptive service environment, make the value proposition terrible—especially when places like Mii U offer superior quality for less. I cannot recommend this restaurant when better value and execution are available nearby.
The menu selection from Vietnamese snacks, baguettes,Pho and coffee. Of course, there are also British options: all day breakfast, jacket potato and sandwiches.
Beef Pho is good quality and the soup base tastes delicious but the chicken Pho is average.
The specially menu – Vietnamese curry rice is also delicious. The sweet curry has a little coconut aroma and is slightly spicy and fragrant. The store may consider adding curry Pho into their menu
I really look forward to visiting again next time and trying the Vietnamese baguettes and Bun Salads!
