I finally got a chance to go in this place. They had me at lobster roll. Even though they seemed busy, I felt they were attentive. I haven’t tried the bar yet, and probably won’t go there because I don’t drink and I don’t smoke. (Not that we can smoke indoors nowadays.) I go there for the vibe. Maybe it’s because it was close to closing time? I’m excited for the Maine Mondays, $10 a lobster, while supplies last. Not really an oyster fan, but who knows, if I get tired of ordering the lobster roll (which I won’t), I may try something new!

We went there for Sunday brunch. Everything about our experience was just awful. The service sucked. They were out of most of their mimosas. The mimosas were horrible and took forever to come. The waitress kept saying how swamped they were but there was barely anyone seated. The food was okay but not great. We were disappointed with our Sunday brunch.

We pull in at 5pm to an empty restaurant and thought hmmm… that’s weird. But we were on a mission. A mission to try the Lobster Roll. After ordering a drink they described the menu as a small plate menu. You piece together a plate. I asked specifically if this was a lobster salad? Or a hot buttered lobster roll? I wasn’t interested in a salad and cold lobster. Server describes this thing to me So I ordered fries and lobster roll. As you can see this is how it came out. It’s coleslaw and a sandwich with very little lobster. I immediately said this is not what I wanted. They took it away (my wife was too nice to send hers back as well) and said let’s get you what you want. Already irritated, from not feeding this craving, I ordered happy hour sliders. That came out dry and what not. Manager came up apologized and said she boxed up the lobster roll for a snack later. I am thinking not what I want but that’s nice. Then we get our bill and my wife says they didn’t take it off. I asked for the manager and she said no we wouldn’t take it off because there was nothing wrong with it. I responded very firmly and said I am not paying for it. And said your server answered all of my questions and described this lobster roll to me. Finally she says ok and takes it off. Poor service and food.

We went for our anniversary and we weren’t disappointed. The food and atmosphere were great! Their raw oysters are fresh and some of the best we’ve had. Everything we tried on the menu was a hit. Our waiter was very attentive and always had our orders out to us quickly. This is a nice spot and we will be back.

We tried this place for the first time in March and loved it. And all we had was their delicious lobster bisque. We returned to the Portland area from Pennsylvania this week for the second part of a business seminar and went 3 times! Twice for the lobster bisque and today for the $5 happy hour tacos (1 fish, 1 shrimp) and fried polenta balls. Everything was perfect and tasty, the waiter was friendly and attentive, and the manager was very warm and gracious. Wish they had a location in Allentown, PA!

Incredibly overpriced for what you get. Food was mediocre at best. Lobster tacos were rubbery. Lobster roll was okay but small (think hamburger bun). Oysters caused GI distress. Herbed fries were good, but very small portion for the price. Forgot to put dressing on salad. Didn’t even have half of the oysters (or beers) that were on the menu. And poor service to top it all off. Definitely won’t be going back.

Went with husband and son last weekend. We decided to eat in the bar section, which could be why the service was slow and spotty. Had to ask for our selections several times, reminding waitstaff, and dinner took 2 hours when it should have been 1.
They had the oysters and loved them, I didn’t and had an excellent lobster roll and lobster bisque, spent about $100.
As we left we all said we’d be back. Now, we won’t.
Unfortunately husband and son got VIOLENTLY ILL from the oysters. Both ends. Really, really sick. It was the only thing they ate together in the last 2 weeks, and the only thing they ate in common.
I’m fine as I didn’t have oysters.
It’s too bad because we did like it and chalked the service to being in the bar on a Saturday night. Now no one wants to take a chance of getting sick again.

Mediocre at best, Too many other amazing seafood places nearby. My husband and I rarely post reviews, but were so disappointed that, well here we are. Ultimately the seafood was what I would expect from a landlocked state not the PNW and the manager has no care or intention to actually fix/address the problems with customers (read more below for details).

The pros: We enjoy small plates but the contents were not as advertised regarding the calamari. The herbed fries are really good, the prices were reasonable and our server was kind.
The cons: The food and the service overall. If you like seasoned potatoes and shrimp – get the calamari but don’t expect any calamari (ours had 3 small pieces). The salmon BLT sandwich was cut into 4 or 5 pretty uneven wedges and was really messy and had to be eaten with a fork. We approached the manager to complain about the calamari. He apologized, but did nothing to fix the issue, which surprised and embarrassed our waitress. In reading other reviews, we can see that either this is a corporate decision (the manager and staff are not in a position to make it right), or it is a pattern of behavior – either way don’t expect them to make it right if you are disappointed or have any problems with the food.

First off, the service was horrible. We arrived before many other tables and our orders were taken much later. Tables that arrived well after we had arrived actually had food served before we had a chance to even order. The wait staff was highly disorganized.

The food is priced very high. Normally I would not point that out other than the price did not justify the quality and portion sizes. The food was decent but again not worth the high price. If you are willing to pay those prices, there are many other excellent restaurants in Portland that will deliver a more exceptional experience.

Awesome price for Monday lobsters, 10 bucks can’t be beat. Being from New England, I know my lobstah! The only thing I have an issue with is the price of their absolutely amazing lobster mac and cheese. It is a little too high at 25 bucks. The waitstaff has been an absolutely wonderful every time I’ve have been here.
