I was in town for a wedding in Waynesville and looking for a local breakfast spot, we found Mainstreet Diner downtown and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, but the staff truly made the experience. Our server, Erica, was fantastic, personable, knowledgeable about the menu, made great suggestions, and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. As a huge foodie, I really appreciated her attention to detail. Highly recommend visiting, and make sure you request Erica!

Really nice atmosphere. We got there around 9 am on Sunday. There was no wait and wasn’t busy. We got right in. Unfortunately they won’t let you get a Mimosa or Mary until 10am. Our breakfast was delicious. He had the Philly Cheese Steak omelet. The mushrooms are so yummy. The steak was nice and tender it came with grits which he traded for shreds. I got the chicken and waffles with a bowl of fruit. It was very good too and the fruit was fresh and refreshing. Definitely recommend.

Time for dinner at the Main Street Diner, tonight we had a cup of Chili and the chicken strips with fries and slaw. The restaurant wasn’t too crowded and was quiet. Our waiter was very friendly and we were able to order almost as we arrived. The food was hot, fresh and delicious.

Touring around town today and saw this cute diner and stepped in for quick desert after lunch. I tried the pecan cinnamon roll and it was absolutely delicious! It was not too sweet and there was a good amount of pecans. I asked for it to be warmed up to go and enjoyed every bite of it. I wish I saw this place sooner to enjoy other options. Next time I’m in Waynesville, I will definitely swing by to try other food options!

Was skeptical being the only diner in down and somewhat generic name, but no basic bland food here. Absolutely enjoyed my meal. Minimal wait to pace the kitchen so browsing next door in the shops is a two for one win for main street. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a long with pastry counter and bar. So anytime of day is good to pop in. Staff was great and nearly licked my plate. Being from GA, we take out fish and grits seriously, this place did not disappoint. Would absolutely visit again if in the area. Free street parking. Find a side street if too busy on Main Street.

Amazing place to go to no matter the occasion! Food is extremely tender and well seasoned and portions are huge! If the food didn’t draw you in the amazing atmosphere or service will definitely be the attraction. And if all of that wasn’t enough, the prices are so cheap you’ll think your eating 20 years ago!

Best breakfast in Waynesville. The spicy goat biscuit with an egg is unmatched! Service is always great and we never have a problem getting a table. This place is a must-try!

Wow. My husband and I had a tasty, creative meal with excellent service. I had the pesto chicken with orzo and flavor and seasoning were on point. My husband had the beef tips with blue cheese and orzo and he also loved his. We both also had the rich and yummy Brussel sprouts and I literally am going back there to order a giant bowl of those next time! Love the decor and atmosphere and the service was excellent and personable. Also, the prices were pretty good for our entrees compared to some restaurants around here. I highly recommend it!

Great location downtown. Super clean, excellent food. We had the Reuben with melt in your mouth house made corned beef and the Phrench Dip with a buttered grilled soft bun and tender beef, cream cheese, onions peppers mushrooms and an au jus dip. Lillie our server was helpful, attentive and very professional. Ron greeted us after the meal and granted a special request we had for a little pepper jelly to go! 10/10 will be back.

Like a blast from the past, a classic diner nestled inside of the soaring quaint downtown. Exposed brick and vintage photos from the past bring it all together.
The food slaps, try the French onion soup with a Club Sammy. Wash it down with a local Asheville IPA and call it a day!
