Wayne’s Drive-in is the quintessential Americana, 1950s drive-in vibe. It features burgers, hot dogs, fries, tatted Tots, ice cream, mails and similar old-school drive-in treats. The inside seats about 30 people, the outside has a bunch of picnic tables for dining. All the tables are clean and well kept, by the attentive and courteous staff. The burgers we ordered are pretty good, ingredients are fresh. The tater tots are better than the French Fries in my opinion. The Choclate Malts are also good. I still rate the Night Owl Drive-in near the MKE airport as a bit better, but you’ll enjoy Wayne’s food, ice cream treats and 50s music, and the old nostalgic images in the dining area.

First thing – it’s not a drive-in, so no clue why they call it that.
Overall it was ok. It’s a bit sad, to be honest because I wanted to like it more
I had originally driven by and just thought it was a cool building. We went in for lunch.. and it’s ok inside, they have the oldies playing. It has potential. Or maybe, it just used to be good. But our table had not been cleaned and was nasty. The food was mostly just OK. I would place it above fast food like McDs… but definitely not what I’d call a great burger joint. There seems to be a lot to choose from on the menu, but of course it all in the execution.

Wayne’s definitely serves my favorite hamburger (Al’s Hamburgers in Green Bay is a close rival, as they have a full pound burger on the menu). Usually I skip the bun, but since Wayne’s provides the legendary “Sheboygan Hard Roll” I go ahead and eat the bread w it.
My process is to order a double cheese and add 2x patties and 2x cheese to make it a pound burger (totaling about $18) with one slice of cheese to accompany each beef patty. Hopefully the pound burger gets on the menu one day.

Super cute diner. Had Wayne’s steak sandwich with grilled onions. Daughter had chili cheese dog with cheese fries and a fudge sundae. Love the old sodas on the fountain machine.

First and last time here. I ordered the Wayne’s Steak sandwich….on the menu it clearly says it is a grilled sirloin steak. I asked if it was sliced or a full steak and I was told it was a full steak. So I asked for it to be cooked medium. The girl told the cook and the cook said “they’ll try” and when I got my “Steak sandwich” I completely understood why. It absolutely wasn’t a sirloin steak! It was made with cube steak!! Which for anyone who cooks is the same meat used to make chicken fried steak and is not sirloin at all. Trying to pass of cube steak as sirloin and then having customers pay $13.50 for that is ripping off your customers! Completely disrespectful! Pictures added for proof!

We have driven past here many times and finally stopped today to check it out. Our 4 kids and us all enjoyed our quickly made burgers despite how busy they were and fries and onion rings. My husband was impressed with burgers and I would have attached pics of the food but it was all enjoyed too quickly. we will have to try the sweets next time!

Food was good. I understand why they want $14 for the burger meal. It’s all local goods, which is great. They give alot of tator tots, which is also great!! I wish the burgers were slightly bigger. Girls behind the counter were super nice.

Drove an hour to eat here and it was well worth that drive!! The burgers were the best I’ve had in a very long time. Remind me of Juicy Lucy burgers, but even better.
The cheeseburgers here are to die for! So juicy, so tasty & delicious because it actually had flavor in the meat. The bun was awesome, too. Just amazing!
Their tater tots with season salt are so crispy and delicious, I couldn’t get enough of them. They also offer Cajun seasoning on your tater tots if that’s your thing, but the season salt sprinkled on them was the perfect amount!
The chocolate shake was a bit disappointing though because it tasted gritty & syrupy, as if it were made with ice milk & chocolate syrup instead of smooth chocolate ice cream.
I’ll be back soon for more burgers & tater tots!
If you want the best burger within a hundred miles, go to Wayne’s!

This place looks so amazing from the road, you just have to stop and check it out! We grabbed a hot dog, brat, and fries—pretty standard stuff, but still tasty. The real star? The ice cream—it’s delicious!

One of the coolest things about this spot is that just about a mile north of the restaurant, you’ll find the last covered bridge in Wisconsin! It’s a stunning bridge, built way back in the 1800s, and definitely worth a visit. And if you head south, you’ll hit Cedarburg, a charming little town with plenty to explore.

I rarely ever write reviews for places but I have reached a point of frustration. I absolutely love Wayne’s. I always receive excellent customer service and the food is always good. My issue is that almost every time I go there they leave something out of my order. It’s usually only my boyfriend and I ordering together 4-5 items and still they almost always forget an item. Today they forgot my French fries that I didn’t realize until after I got home. So now that is money I’ve lost and it’s not the first second third fourth or even fifth time that this has happened. It’s also frustrating that these orders go through several people before reaching the customers and items are still always forgotten. Love the food a lot, but employees need to be more aware.
