For me, this place was fortuitous find. The staff is delightful, the burgers are amazing, and the ambiance/ music reminds you of an 80s diner. And they offer halal food, which is just fantastic.

I’m a sucker for tator tots and these were extra crispy. Not a trace of freezer burn taste in sight. The burgers were pretty good and customizable with an interesting take on upside down buns. While the fried pickle chips fell short, hardly enough batter coating them.

This was my first and last visit. I ordered the Bacon single, onion rings, and a shake. This a a bad Whataburger at best, the bacon wasn’t even cooked, the rings were stale, and the shake completely melted before I finished my burger, ugh! I’ll call it “Wayback before someone started making good burgers.”

Burgers are Delicious, Cheezey” Burger option was good. Had a nice buttery bun and gooey cheese. Full size Chilli cheese fry is very big, enough for one person to eat as a entree. Customer service was good. I would not choose fried pickles if you are taking out , as they will loose their crispness and get soggy. Overall good food and atmosphere. Shakes are Delicious as well. Would come back again.

Wow. I read some of the reviews prior to coming here, all I can say is wow. Damnnnn good food. And these dudes on the staff knocked it out of the park. Chili was amazing and chunky, everything was good all the way to the lemonade.

Seriously I was a bit scared to try a new food place so many in Austin. I AM SO GLAD I DID!! The food was wonderful! I was so surprised!!!!!!! We got two #1s and two kid burgers with chili fries and regular fries also got 2shakes!!! THE FOOD WAS ALL SO GOOD!! I also ordered a drink it was cherry coke! I was beyond surprised that it tasted like a real coke with the real cherry syrup!! Also I was surprised the water tasted great! Usually at fast food restaurants the water doesn’t taste great and you get mad at paying for a drink with a meal. However the water was good.

Updated review: Loved my chicken ceasar salad! The chicken was seasoned and there was a ton of cheese on the salad. The Oreo milkshake was very strong on the Oreo. It was tasty. The burger, I was told, was ok, but it would have been better if I got a fancy burger, not a classic one.

A solid burger joint has opened up in tech ridge! The workers are still learning the ropes but the food was awesome. The onion rings had this yummy fluffy exterior. Both burgers had juicy patties with great toppings. And the milkshake was rich with flavor and didn’t need a trying extra. Definitely excited to go again to modern rendition of a burger place.

First time going to Wayback Burgers and I enjoyed it. The place was empty at 11am. When I ordered they put the fresh hamburgers on the grill. It took a little time but it was fresh and hot. It is a bit pricey. Burger, fries and a soda was $15+. I will return though. I tried their classic burger and also the barbecue burger with onion rings.

The burgers here are ok but nothing to rave about. This is more of a preference but I didn’t like that the pickles that were on my burger were sweet, I much prefer sour. I also had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake and it was a little too sweet for me. The chunks in the shake were also too large and couldn’t get through the straw.
