Small, overcrowded restaurant ran by local college kids that would be okay except the horrible customer service. We placed our order online and when we picked it up they were slammed. The taste of the burger explains why; it was excellent. Our problem was, when we got home to eat, we discovered nearly half the food that we payed for, had been forgotten. Understandable considering how busy they were. But when I called to inform them I was short-changed and give them a chance to make it right, I was instantly hung-up on, not once, not twice but five times before I accepted defeat. Food tasted great, what we actually received. They still owe me nearly $15, so they wont be recieving any more of my money.
**Update: The owner reached out to me and had the manager remake the entire order, more than surpassing my expectations. I’m glad to see his attention to concerns and dedication to make his customers happy. I will be back again and hopefully he can get some good employees like Hannah to make this place a favorite.

Very nice staff and good food. Quick and friendly service. They have expanded their menu from just burgers now as well, but the Cheesy Burger combo with onion rings is always a good pick. Milkshakes are good as well.

It is a great place to eat. It is not just hamburgers. They have other options such as chicken, or even veggie burgers. I am not a vegetarian. I still always get the veggie burger. It taste good. The people are nice. The food quality is great. There are so many choices. You won’t get burned out on it. It’s definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

** EDIT: In response to the highly unprofessional response by the owner- I HAVE, in fact, been to this establishment several times and was disappointed each time. Defending the poor management and poor quality of the food is laughable and perhaps the owner should take note of more negative reviews to help improve the business instead of attacking well-informed reviewers. Now they will definitely not be getting my business and I will be sure to let everyone know of my experiences here, and of the ridiculous response from an obviously unwilling to improve owner. Reduced to 1 star! And I’ve never done a review for a contest, Google highlights places I have visited and requests reviews from me, so maybe you should educate yourself more about the process. I leave 5 star reviews on many places and am honest about my experience in all of my reviews. Just take a peek at my others- if you deserve it you definitely get it and this place DOES NOT.

Not my favorite burger joint, but will do in a pinch. The management here is pretty lax and generally results in a longer than necessary wait and a generally disorganized and unpleasant experience. I honestly haven’t visited here in quite some time simply because it’s just really nothing to write home about. Thin burger patties which are super greasy and stringy fries. This would all be okay, but the prices are so elevated I feel there are much better options at the price point. With Five Guys just right up the road at Hartwell Village now, they will be getting all of my business from here on out now that I have more options! Jake’s may do in a pinch, but meh, is all I really have to say about it!

The burgers and shakes are pretty doggone good. The onions rings are ok. The fries, the one time we had them, were a soggy disaster. (Hotter oil, people!) The ambiance in our local place, Clemson, SC, is very friendly but also very very noisy, even when the place is not busy, because of a total lack of soundproofing. THIS COULD BE FIXED (Hint) Wait times are short to reasonable.

Went in for the special buy a burger get a burger free- they only had three people working. The one manager was on the phone the whole time and the girl at the register was way over her head and messing up orders. There was nobody in line before we got there, so after waiting half an hour, I went to ask the manager when our food will be ready and he told me it was over an hour wait. They told nobody this at the register, everybody was waiting for food & people were getting their money back. Food is good but definitely not worth the wait when they were running a special. Manager was courteous and provided a refund. We, as well as others, missed our whole lunch break today….

Presently, the cooler in view is empty. The drink carriers are sitting on a dirty floor. The self serve drink area is messy. Tables and chairs need cleaning. Dirty pans are stacked high on the trash cans. Definitely this restaurant is running too close on payroll. 35 minute wait although there is no line. Hope the food is good! Actually shorter wait than stated.

Daughter’s milkshake was forgotten and her meal about finished when my wife mentioned it to one of the guys there. She got her shake and then a few minutes later (I assume) the owner/manager popped over with a couple Free Burger and a Free Sweet cards as an apology! Greatly appreciated his recognizing it without us saying a word and we’ll definitely be back!
