So first things first, I will say, going from the grill to the registered and back to grill is an issue. That is a ServSafe violation, plus a person coming from another food area and jumping on the registered to support because there was one cook is also an issue. The presentation of the burger was good and tasteful. The chicken tenders were tasteless and dry. There were no sauce options. I might visit again but highly unlikely unless it is an emergency.

Unfortunately, Wayback has the poorest customer service of any of the eateries that one can get to without having to drive off base. It wasn’t this bad a couple of years ago, but just in the last 2 visits we’ve made to this place, we’ve waited at the counter for 5+ minutes while the 3 staff members were hanging out and talking with a friend without being acknowledged, had raw veggies put on sandwiches when grilled mushrooms and onions were clearly asked for, and the burgers come out wrapped, but somehow still falling apart. I could understand if any of the issues with the food quality happened during a lunch rush, but there were only two occupied tables and everyone had their food. Wayback is becoming more of a last resort food option, rather than a go-to.

They dont listen and even though the sandwich was the chicken BLT aparrently I needed to specify that Lettuce and Tomato was wanted on the sandwich. Took 40 minutes to also make the food. 0 out of 5 stars. Wouldn’t recommend.

This place sucks, I ordered tomato’s and on my burger and while they were making it they said the had no tomato’s and abt 30 seconds later another employee came out with more but didn’t bother putting them on, plus pute cheese on my burger when I asked for none. It’s like there don’t even read there tickets, not the fist time they have messed my food up so I’m not surprised. If you want actually good food just go off of base or to the subway on base at building 86

Fast, fresh and friendly! What more can you ask for? I got the Big easy with onion rings and a root beer. This is by far the best food I’ve gotten on this base. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for!

Came here from out of town. The food was delicious and the service was great. Noticed all the employees cleaning and thought it was strange and i looked online and realized they had closed over ten minutes ago. The employees didn’t even say anything and let us finish and take our time. I feel bad because if I had known we of course would have left but kudos to them for their patience truly. Would definitely come here again! Not to mention the restrooms were clean and even smelt good.

Would not recommend, the long haired blonde guy working is unhygienic, always burns the food to the point its inedible and has a terrible attitude. A shame that this is allowed on such a prestigious military/training base, very discouraging.

The New London Sub Base location is an embarrassment. The employees do not know how to use the loyalty program. They have no desire to move with any sense of urgency.

The issue with the rewards has been ongoing for years, and I get the same response from both the location and corporate.

This location needs to be fixed or closed so another fast food place with customer service and a competent staff can take its place.

The worker was super unhygienic picking his nose putting his fingers in his mouth while making your food and all the while eating on the job

The staff is pretty unenthusiastic. They only speak with the fewest words necessary, and don’t smile or seem to care. They don’t even say “thank you” or tell you the total when you order. They treated me like I was a nuisance just for giving them business. They weren’t even busy.

I’ve tried this place a few times and they never have chicken. Last time I asked, the employee just grumbled “no chicken”.

The burgers and fries are bland, and the shakes are pretty thin. I tried ordering a malt to see if it’d be thicker, but it wasn’t.

If it couldn’t get any worse, I ended up puking a couple hours after eating there.

Not the worst burger place I’ve been to, but nowhere near the best and falls a ways short of decent. The only way I’ll ever try it again is if they make a hard 180 and I hear people saying it’s good.

Whatever the new leadership is did trying to make it better, they seriously fell off hard from any improvement they made. Your workers need to at least act sincere and be more attentive with production. I paid over $20 for a meal with a shake and got sick, and I honestly don’t think they’d care.
