Do not pull up to Wayback if you’re in the mood for a mediocre burger. This is not that place.
Their burgers are halal and they are done right. Lean but still juicy. Seasoned with care. No grease bomb, no regret. The buns are fresh and soft, the kind that hold everything together without falling apart in your hands.
This is not typical fast food. The food comes out hot. The service is on point. The staff know their menu and treat you with respect. Polite. Helpful. No attitude.
For the price, prepare yourself for a mouthwatering burger that tastes like somebody in the back takes pride in what they’re doing.
Well done, Wayback.
And the location makes it easy. Right off the highway corridor between Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Pull off. Grab one. Keep it moving.

Although we only went in for milkshakes the service was really nice. The strawberry milkshake taste really good especially with the additional strawberry swirl. Not only did it taste good but it was nicely presented, was not messy at all. I love a clean drink.

Stopped in today for the first time I was mostly impressed. The location is clean, expansive, and has a large and convenient parking lot. I liked that a lot because parking can be a pain in Providence.
I ordered a soda, tater tots, and the chicken BLT. My significant other had the brownie shake, regular fries, and Cajun burger. Overall I paid $41 which was a fair price. The food came out quickly and I was mostly impressed. Tots were nice and crispy and the chicken tasted fresh. I thought the sandwiches would have been a little larger but wasn’t displeased with the size.
The owner was very friendly and even asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. However, he did ask us to leave a five star review “before we leave” three times as we were finishing up our food. There’s nothing wrong with asking once but I started to feel a little pressured towards the end of our visit.

First time here with my partner and have to say I had the best shake ever. My shake had brownie pieces in it. Burger was good but I can’t say it was super delicious. I made it a meal and got tater tots which was your original tater tots. Overall I liked this place and will return to try more items on the menu.

The food was delicious fried pickles were awesome and the food tastes fresh. Again u get what u pay for 15.00 for a burger and pickle chips but it’s definitely delicious and would come back. My friend had the French fries she said they weren’t soggy at all very Krispy and the vegetables too. Lettuce was nice and green always a treat

I love this Providence Branch Ave location. Always friendly staff. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked tasty food despite the quick speed of every order. Have eaten their juicy burgers, chicken sandwich, steak and cheese sandwich, fries, tater tots and milk shakes…all are yummy! They provide a wonderful customer experience. Have eaten here repeatedly.

First time trying here, and it exceeded expectations. I wouldn’t so much classify them as fast food, but more like good food….fast. Very efficiently run, friendly people working here. Indoors is very clean, well maintained and well lit, and there’s a giant menu board on the inside if you didn’t order ahead. If I wasn’t already aware this is a national chain, I would’ve just thought this was a great local spot for quick eats. In recent fast-food experiences, feeling some of the more popular chains have upped their prices while giving you less, I think you really get what you pay for at Wayback, and that’s a good thing. Affordable food, good, tasty burgers for under $10. I’ll be coming back here.

Love it. I’ll definitely be coming back! The quality of the food it’s incredible. Flavors and very good service. Jannie, the cashier who helped us was amazing and her customer service was great. Love the chili-cheese dog. It is worthy and the price—you pay for quality❤️ I didn’t add photos because I demolished that food in about 2 minutes. The tenders are literally chicken not just flour or breading. I’m pregnant and I’ve never enjoyed a meal more than this fast food restaurant.
