Met up with some friends for some live music here. The band was awesome. I didn’t get anything to drink so can’t speak on how that part is. The outdoor area where the music is has plenty of picnic tables but u can also bring your own chair in. I have to admit though, the small town of Waxhaw doesn’t seem to have accommodated for their new night life as far as parking goes. Have to get down there extra early to find decent parking if you don’t want to walk forever alone in the dark back to your car.

We love Waxhaw Taphouse! We have been loyal customers since they opened. We love the outside area…I’m an outdoorsy girl. When I’m relaxing after a long work week, I like to sit outside, listen to music and have a drink.

I was really disappointed by the service at the door last night. The bouncer gave my ID a half-second glance and immediately told me he was going to keep it and not let my friend in as well (without even asking for/checking their ID). My ID is 100% legitimate, but he refused to actually look at the security features or scan it, along with the police officer that was standing next to him. Luckily I was given it back, but that was only because I had my passport with me to further prove that my ID is legitimate. Both the bouncer and the officer’s actions felt like a lazy excuse to power trip rather than an actual security check.

I love that the taphouse is LGBT friendly and will support them for that reason. The atmosphere is nice, they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They are dog friendly, inside and out and have treats and water bowls. When I went (Wednesday evening) they were having mingo (music bingo) and the leaders were super nice. It was a bit loud though and is broadcast into the outdoor areas. This is great if you want to play outside but if you want to go to the taphouse and have a quiet evening/talk with friends it makes it difficult to find a space for that. I was interested to find they have a Pepsi vending machine inside. I tried both sours they had on tap and they were bad… the bartender did offer me a sample ahead of time though and I declined, so that’s on me. Better luck next time for me with drinks.

Great avenue ❤️ indoor darts is fun, outdoor activities are available and staging is great. Probably need more seating for all the attendees. Kids in America were amazing. Great selection of beer available. Will make this a regular spot with friends.

The experience at Wax Tap House was okay. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow and the food could have been better. Overall, it’s an average place — not bad, but not exceptional either.

Our first time here. It came highly recommended by a friend and did not disappoint! Big, open space with plenty of seating, both inside and out. The band, Unknown Artist, was playing on the outside stage this day, and there is a raised stage and good setup to see a band. The staff is friendly and attentive. And the crowd was fun and friendly, too! The beer options are really good, and they have something to suit pretty much everyone’s taste. There is a food truck there set up by QR code at the tables where you can order and they bring it right to your table. It’s a cool and efficient idea! The prices are a bit high, but the food is tasty. We will definitely be back and also highly recommend this place. Cheers!

Long Island ice tea isn’t made here so I got what the bartender recommended, an Arnold Palmer. I spent $13 on an Arnold Palmer this Saturday (6/7/25). It was pretty good. I looked at my bank account the next day and I was charged $20 two separate times. I only swiped my card once though. I called before 10pm but no one answered.
I’ll call on Tuesday when they’re open. If I get back what I’m owed I will change the review.
Not cool.

Edit:
I waited for the charges to post and I was indeed charged twice for some reason. $13.54 for the drink and an extra $10 dollars.

Edit 2:
Never got my money back. Can’t recommend this place to anyone.
