After reading other reviews I’m glad to know it’s not just me. Growing up in Philly I knew of Wawa but after moving to Maryland the only time I would have it was when going to NJ beaches. So once they started popping up in the DMV of course I was thrilled. However the closest one to me was in Beltsville which is a little too far for me. Luckily one popped up in Hyattsville (Riggs Rd) up the street from where I work and I’m probably in there daily (no exaggeration). However on days I’m not at work and don’t feel like driving I just order delivery through the app which defaults to this location. It’s complete day and night compared to the Riggs Rd location. I don’t know if it’s management or if there’s a drastic pay difference, but the service at this place SUCKS! I haven’t received an accurate order out of the numerous times I’ve ordered. Today was the final straw. It’s apparent that they just don’t care. I can’t imagine how horrible it is in-store. I would probably end up telling someone off.
Even when I’m at work and don’t have time to make it up the street to the Riggs Rd location, my deliveries are rarely ever wrong. The owners should really look into this and do some restaffting. I get it.. nobody WANTS to work but we all have to. Do your job or quit.

I was so excited to finally get to try this new Wawa as it’s close to my job. It’s very clean, has plenty of pumps and parking spots, and a good selection of food, drinks, etc to purchase. The touch screen food offered to be ordered didn’t have the panini option which kind of made me feel let down. Instead I ordered a toasted ham and cheese 6” sandwich on wheat. It’s pretty good with plenty of meat. I’ve included pictures below for reference.
Overall, I liked it and I’m still thrilled it’s finally open.

This is about that one plus sized employee who is white. I see plenty of other reviews talking about her, but she really has the worst attitude I have ever witnessed in a gas station worker my lord. Multiple times I see her lash out on customers for simple questions or problems with an order. There are plenty of reviews specifically mentioning her and their horrible treatment of persons of color and other patrons.

I just picked up an uber order from there and my experience was horrific. When I approached the counter, I told the lady the name and she already had an attitude and told me to call the customer because they ran out of the flavor drink he wanted. I said okay. The customer didn’t answer and she proceeded with more attitude left the counter completely so I had to ask the other girl what other flavors they had. She didn’t know so we both looked at the mean lady (White woman) to ask what other flavors but she kept looking at me rolling her eyes. So the other girl had to assume strawberry banana. I finally had to text the customer since he wouldn’t answer, the white lady walked back over and says hurry up what is it what do they want and I said be patient because I have to text and wait for the customer response. She tells BE PATIENT! Then whispers with all these people around “there was 2 people not even near the counter at that point. Pretty much empty. The guy finally responds and asks what other flavors, so I ask again and the other girl says just go look. PARDON ME? I went anyway while the white lady kept rolling her eyes. I’m a Black Woman and it gave racism. It was so outrageously mean for no reason. I’m not even able to put into words how shaken I’m feeling after that interaction. I’ve already complained to uber and I’m writing a letter to the CEO. If you’re white and you hate Black people either be normal or move to a more homogenous country like Poland or Switzerland. I don’t have anything else for you. I’m not a psychiatrist, I’m a food delivery driver. I’m a saved woman so I didn’t engage because anger does not produce the righteousness of the Lord so I kept it cute but if Blackness makes you that insecure then go to betterhelp.com and schedule a therapy session or move, and leave people alone! ❌

The. the non-dairy milk options were behind the counter, when there are 12 kinds of coffee and 4 types of dairy out. discriminatory. Second of all, i need whoever made the wawa recipe for an italian sub to please google what an italian sub is supposed to be like. Third of all, the iced tea was literal water, which obviously is an error. I don’t know what’s Wawa’s fault and what is this location, but I won’t be returning.

The number one reason I go to Wawa instead of the Royal Farms across the street is that they don’t charge you for air. Doesn’t matter if I need air or not- it’s the principle. Wawa it is.
