I usually do reviews everytime I go out whether its good or bad but have not in a long while.
This is the 2nd time in a week they have messed up my order or didn’t give me everything I ordered.
I placed an order on the app for a smoothie and a cheesesteak mac & cheese bowl.
I didn’t have a card saved so I paid for it when I got there and they’re supposed to make it after you pay for it. They made the smoothie when I ordered it. So half melted by the time I was able to pick it up and I they gave me someone’s doordash order with rice turkey and corn.
I also tried to call but noone was available to answer the phone so it rang until I got the message that noone was available to answer and it hung up
Review of White Plains Wawa (across from CVS):
Incident Date: October 28th, 2024, 3:56 PM
I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the treatment I received at this Wawa location. As someone who has often chosen Wawa for its service and convenience, my recent experience here left me feeling racially profiled, disrespected, and completely disregarded.
I entered the store around 3:56 PM to use the ATM, but it wasn’t working properly, and my money ended up stuck in the machine. When I asked for assistance, a young lady on staff attempted to help and brought over a manager named Timothy, a tall, pale-skinned man with grey hair and a slightly flamboyant demeanor. Unfortunately, Timothy’s attitude toward my situation was nothing short of condescending and dismissive.
As I explained my issue, Timothy immediately seemed annoyed. He turned up his face in various expressions, clearly uninterested in assisting me. Instead of addressing my concerns, he made a snide comment, saying, “Well, there’s nothing I can do about that,” and moved the “ATM not working” sign to the next machine without so much as an apology.
When I expressed my frustration and requested a refund, Timothy escalated the situation further—he called the cops on me. However, when a white customer entered the store right after me and had the same issue with the ATM, Timothy had no problem calmly explaining to him that the machine was out of service. This contrast in treatment was blatantly obvious and made me feel as though I was being singled out, profiled, and ultimately discriminated against.
To Timothy, the supposed face and representation of Wawa at this location, I feel compelled to say that this treatment is beyond unacceptable. Thankfully, the two ladies on shift that day were kind, understanding, and genuinely tried to assist me through the ordeal. I am grateful for their professionalism and compassion, which starkly contrasted Timothy’s behavior.
I expect that Wawa, as a company that prides itself on customer service, takes such incidents seriously and holds its staff accountable. Timothy’s treatment was not only unprofessional but felt like a targeted act of discrimination, which should not be tolerated by any business.
This experience has left a negative impact on me, and I hope Wawa management will address this situation to ensure that no one else has to feel the way I did.
