Staff were super kind. Bar area is cozy. Food arrived quickly (not that we were in an hurry) and hot. Layers of flavor and seasoned perfectly. Short rib was out of this world. I fought my husband over it and I won, thank God because divorce is expensive. Awesome spot.

So this place is amazing for people with celiac. The owner/chef Josh has celiac so everything is safe, delicious. The fried halloumi was wonderful. Short ribs were fork tender. Wedge salad was delicious. We will be regulars. The staff was all really considerate and attentive to the needs of the person in our party with celiac. Great food, great staff.

Came here with my sister and left with to go food for my other sister because it was so yummy! My favorite thing about the place is that they are so gluten-free friendly. It was awesome to enjoy foods I usually have to go without because there is wheat flour in it. The flavor and textures were totally on par! I can’t wait to come back. Also, the service was great!

We’ve had several great meals here. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always friendly. We especially appreciate the fact that 95% of the menu is labeled gluten free as my family has several with celiac disease. It’s not an afterthought—things were designed that way, and flavor has not been sacrificed.

Went here for dinner after a show at Stone Church. Fantastic. I had the salmon my husband has the chicken. Outstanding! The salmon had this sauce with risotto and his chicken was over grits with Brussel sprouts in again a fantastic sauce. A+

We absolutely love this place, the people and the food! We look forward to it every week. You can taste the difference of the quality of ingredients – and they have the best fries! They’re also gluten friendly which is so nice for our visiting family and friends. We’re so lucky to have Josh and his team here in Newmarket!

Excellent meal! When I come back to this area, I’ll definitely eat here again. I really enjoyed the Statler chicken. The mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were so flavorful and the chicken was so moist and delicious! Arrived quickly and piping hot even though they were really busy! The local oysters with cucumber mignonette were also very fresh and tasty. I had a slice of their Dreamsickle cake. Super moist with fresh whipped cream and just the right quantity of frosting that wasn’t cloyingly sweet. Lovely orange flavor garnished with fresh wedges of orange. I also enjoyed an excellent cocktail that was just the right mix of gin, a tad of honey, and a nice hit of acid with a bit of lemon adding complexity without sourness. I also had the Watershed lemonade mocktail. The sweet pea simple syrup added uniqueness and I would not have known it was a mocktail if I hadn’t seen it myself on the menu. Our server was attentive, friendly, fast, and had thoughtful recommendations. Even though I’m a food snob, I don’t often leave reviews. But this was well worth it!

I cannot say enough good things about Watershed. Amber and Josh have really outdone themselves. The menu is perfectly sized and has options for vegetarians. Super friendly staff and great service. Our waiter Eli was awesome. My girlfriend and I went all out: we started with half a dozen oysters on the half shell and the charcuterie board, followed by the lobster roll and bucatini pasta, and wrapped up with the Persian love cake. Everything literally made us go “wow.” Even the bread they served was so fresh and flaky.

So glad to have another wonderful restaurant here in Newmarket, severing local ingredients and good atmosphere. I ordered the haddock fish sandwich, served with fries and a deliciously bright dill remoulade. The sandwich was well portioned, with the supporting cast of lettuce, tomato and pickle balancing the fish perfectly. The bun was fresh and toasted wonderfully. I also sampled their take on a mojito; which was also refreshing with plenty of quality mint and lime, wish a dash of blueberry; and I’m looking forward to trying the rest of their cocktails. Would come again!
