Social Profile:

Waters is quite simply, the finest restaurant in Sundance Square. While the cuisine may be fine dining, we refer to our atmosphere as “Ft Worth Fancy”, where the dress is casual. Seafood is our greatest passion, But the menu also features delicious Texas steaks and something for every palate. Relax and wind down in our spacious Main street bar, featuring a vast array of premium whiskey and spirits, or enjoy the comfort of our lively patio bar for a signature craft cocktail or browse our award-wining wine list. Whether its a quick dozen oyster, a healthy business lunch, or a full evening of culinary indulgence, Waters can meet and surpass all of your expectations with the most friendly staff in town. Come on in, the Waters fine!

Refined seafood restaurant with nautical decor like hanging oyster shells, plus a tree-topped patio.

We visited for our anniversary. We ourdered a house salad and a lump crab and avocado salad, dirty rice, lobster macaroni, lobster and a 14 oz ribeye. All of the food was good except the dirty rice. The hostess Lydia was great. The waiter was ok. The restaraunt was overhyped by a hotel member where we stayed. For the price I would have preferred Del Frisco, Ruth Chris, or Eddie V’s.

We LOVE LOVE The Waters Restaurant! We live downtown and support the local businesses! Our fave at Waters is the Happy Hour Martini, Margarita and Dirty Dozen! We enjoy trying the different oysters each week. So delish! As much as we love the food and drinks, the staff is amazing!! Kalvin, “Kalvin with a K” is the best. He remembers our names, faves, and little details of our lives!

Annually why wife takes me to a restaurant for a fine dining experience. This year’s selection was Water’s in downtown Fort Worth. We plan to spend exuberantly for a culinary experience that leaves us with a feeling of money well spent. Unfortunately, this was not such an experience, the overall visit was underwhelming. The staff was courteous and responsive when prompted, however we shouldn’t have to ask more than once for requested items. Regarding the food it was prepared well with the exception of the fish portion of the fish and chips and the gumbo. The fish was light and fluffy and equally as bland, the only thing that makes it palatable is the malt vinegar or the tartar sauce. Regarding the Gumbo, its hearty and savory, but more of a thick seafood soup than Gumbo. Lastly, to present a 6oz lobster tail as a 12oz lobster tail is disrespectful and down right dishonest. We expected better, but you be the judge.

I think my expectations were too high – I didn’t find the food to be well seasoned past salt and pepper. Out of our spread, the scallops were the best thing we ate. Their old fashioned was also not well balanced – it needed a bit of water to open it up a bit. Overall, I would not return if I was paying for the meal, and if someone else was paying, I may recommend a different place. Perfect for those who don’t require well seasoned food. Their table bread is delicious!

Came away unimpressed after trying Waters for Christmas Eve dinner. The raw oysters and steak were exceptional. Everything else, from the halibut to the sides to the drinks were average at best. Service in particular was mediocre, with seemingly confused staff the whole time, culminating in food being spilled on us with minor compensation afterwards. Will likely not return.

I was really excited to come eat here for our anniversary. The staff was kind and informative, but the food for the price point did not match. My lobster tail was chewy to point I didn’t even eat, but two bites. I will say the lobster Mac & cheese was great as was the tomato heirloom salad. My husband got crab cakes and they tasted a bit under cooked. The drinks were cold and tasty. Would I go back, no. Was it awful, no. Just a tad let down, honestly.

Extremely loud. We attended for restaurant week and were really looking forward to it. I have to say it was our waitress that ruined the entire evening for us. Now, she had a very large group (I counted 20) that she was sharing with another server. I’m patient when I see that, I used to be a server myself. When she came to our table for our drink order I told her I wanted a dozen oysters in addition to our restaurant week choices. I was told I was not allowed to order them until I ordered my restaurant week choices. I was ok with that. When our appetizers came I asked about the oysters and she claimed I never ordered them. Even when she was at our table she didn’t listen. Her eyes were constantly on the larger table. I really want to give this restaurant another chance but the service was just that bad.

We always have such a great time and experience when coming to dine here. We were served by Sophia this evening with the help from Kentt for some great wine options.

This was our first time here and we had high expectations. When we arrived for our 5:45 reservations we realized quickly that the restaurant was too cold for an enjoyable meal. We opted to sitting on the patio whose ambiance was more questionable. Our concerns were quickly put to rest as we started ordering (oysters followed by a salad and the entrees). The food was amazing. Definitely prepared with quality in mind My wife’s scallops took the prize. Anyway we would definitely return and the temperature in the lobby was better when we walked back through it otw out.
