Social Profile:

Beautifully executed Japanese cuisine with attention to detail. The sashimi was fresh, and the overall quality was consistent across dishes. The atmosphere at the counter was calm and focused, with the chefs working just in front of us — a treat for anyone who enjoys the precision of traditional Japanese dining.
It’s on the pricier side, but worth it for a special meal in Lisbon.

We let ourselves get a full menu prepared by the main chef, we were served 5 plates. Highly recommend the medium fat tuna, chutoro sashimi was so good we had it twice. Also recommend, toro tataki, insane tartare.

The restaurant is not customer-oriented at all, and it feels like there is no common understanding of how their processes should work.

On Friday, I wanted to place a takeout order, but I was refused because they said they were very busy. That’s understandable, and I respected their situation. I then asked a simple follow-up question: whether it would be possible to place a takeout order the next day instead. I was told that it would not be a problem and that I could place a takeout order on Saturday.

However, when we came on Saturday to place the order, we were told that takeout orders were not possible. I explained that the day before I had spoken with the manager and had received confirmation that it would be allowed, but that made no difference — the staff still refused.

This situation left the impression that the staff and management are not on the same page and that customers are given information that is not honored later. If the restaurant cannot provide takeout orders, it would be much better to communicate this clearly instead of giving customers conflicting information and wasting their time.

Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing and made the service feel unprofessional. I hope the restaurant improves communication between staff and management so that future customers do not face the same situation.

I feel sad writing another less positive review and I am suspending any mor sushi i Lisbon… another disappointment… Service was very slow… The chef staff were extremely snobby… And then to top it off the sushi was very poor quality for the price point being paid… plus I’ve never ever seen a restaurant with a legal disclaimer about its food…

The quality of the dishes does not justify the price. The tonkatsu was too greasy and the panko was not as light and cruncy as it should be. Instead, the panko tasted of frying oil and more like French bread-crumbs instead of Japanese panko. The meat was very thin and very small. Authentic tonkatsu is much thicker. No thinly chopped white cabbage to accompany the tonkatsu, no cabbage sauce, not ground sesame seeds and only a very small cup of tonkatsu sauce. The rice was dry and not as sticky as Japanese rice should be.

The sashimi was also too dry – not much, but stiil.

Knife work from the chefs was pretty good but lacked the fluidity of a Japanese chef. One the chefs was using 2 chopsticks as drumsticks while he was waiting to prepare the next order, hitting some rhythm on the counter – something you would never see in a Japanese place.

Clearly, this place has very little experience with Japanese food and customs. Still, they charge prices that are way too high – I have had Omakase in Japan for the price of 2 sashimi servings here.

It seems to me that there is a reservation phone number given only to regular (special) customers,
It means that it is impossible to reserve a seat unless the manager remembers your face and name.
I have not been able to go to this restaurant for several years because of the lack of reservations, but recently I entered the restaurant with an acquaintance and was able to have a meal.
I was able to enjoy my meal.

The sushi items are as fresh as ever, and the food is not fusion, but rather near-traditional Japanese cuisine.

The sushi is naturally delicious, as the sushi chefs are trained by Japanese master( long time ago)

For real sushi lovers, this is a place.
Wednesday evening, without reservation, the lovely lady(I think she is the owner) let us sit at the bar. It was fresh and clean.

Very disappointing experience.
Despite having a reservation, we were repeatedly told that no table was available, even though there were clearly many free tables at the time. The situation felt arbitrary and uncomfortable.

The service was noticeably unfriendly, and the overall vibe was unwelcoming. While nothing was said directly, there was a clear sense of discomfort with us being there with a baby, which made the experience worse. Either communicate clear policies or be genuinely welcoming to families.

We have been here several times and really recommend it to anyone who is a sushi lover or an enthousiast of the Japanese cuisine. The food is delicious, the service is great and we love to come here every time when we are in Lisbon.

Had a good time eating here but the experience and the food did not particularly mark me so I think my rating is appropriate, and potentially even generous. There was some confusion between the waiters with regards to what was available and what wasn’t because one would say yes and the other would say no and then I’d receive a lower grade sushi dish (in terms of tuna fat content) without being asked. Most importantly however, every specific dish I wanted to try was unavailable (toro, chutoro and unagi) so we opted for the largest sushi/sashimi combo platter, which was fresh but ok/pleasant, several pieces were really quite miniscule. The miso eggplant and sea urchin however were spectacular, and kind of carried the dinner. All in all great ingredients, didn’t LOVE it, but know several people that really enjoy this place, so I don’t want to prevent anyone from having a great experience here, give it a try! ✌️
