Best fried catfish EVER! We ate there on our way to and from Mammoth Cave several years ago and never forgot how delicious it was so we stopped there as we were returning home from a trip to Nashville to see if it was still as good and it sure was just as delicious as it was back then! Super friendly service makes it even better. We asked our SUPER sweet waitress to ask the girl that fries the fish to come out to our table so we could tell her that SHE ROCKS and we took her pic because she’s the best!

A spot to stop if youre on your way to Nashville or Mammoth Caves off the highway. Good prices.
Food was okay, a simple menu with breakfast and lunch and a buffet.
Good place for families with options.

One of the greatest restaurants I’ve been to in my life. All you can eat, for $12 makes it easy to bring the entire family! Entire breakfast meal for $7.50? 90s restaurant atmosphere which is really nice. 100% coming back here.

The Watermill restaurant in Cave City Kentucky I s easily assessable off of the Interstate 65 Cave City Exit . The Atmosphere was kinda old school 70’s bland and nothing to write home about . But the customer service and food were very good. I had the Buffet because the Salad Bar looked so awesome. And it was , everything was fresh and well maintained. The other part of the Buffet was very good as well . The waitress was very nice and professional. She made sure that my drink was replenished befit I totally ran out and that is very huge for me . All of this and I was stuffed for just a little over 11 dollars. And if you want the 1-Trip Salad Bar it’s just a little over 5-dollars.
I have to say that I do recommend this place if you’re in the Cave City / Mammoth Cave area.

The Watermill Restaurant is a true gem in Cave City, especially if you’re looking for a warm, country-style buffet experience. Located conveniently near Mammoth Cave, this spot feels like a step back in time, with cozy decor and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. The buffet is packed with Southern classics, from fried chicken and mashed potatoes to hearty vegetables and homemade sides. Each dish tasted fresh and flavorful, with that comforting, home-cooked touch you’d hope for in a local spot like this.
The staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure tables were kept clean and drinks filled, even during busy times. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the food, especially given how reasonable the prices are for an all-you-can-eat option. The desserts were also a highlight—don’t skip the cobbler!
If you’re in the area and craving a filling meal with a homemade feel, The Watermill Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It’s a charming, authentic experience that’s hard to find these days. Highly recommended for families and travelers alike!

What this place lacks in appearance it makes up for in good gome cooking. Catfish and red beans were delish. Peach cobbler for dessert. We had the buffet, it included a salad bat and dessert. $12.95 ea.

Stopped in here for lunch and we got the buffet. The fried catfish was very good. Also got the green beans, cole slaw and the peach cobbler. Very good.
The salad bar was decent. Some cubed ham would have been nice, but overall it was good.
Service was great as well.
We will be back and I do recomend this place!

This is a popular local restaurant. Large parking area, but peak times can get crowded. Restaurant is one floor above parking, so if you avoid stairs go to the east side of the building. There is a paved path for wheelchair access.
Most people eat the buffet, but they do have menus for ordering. Seat yourself, and server takes your drink order and offers buffet or menu. Food is simple country cooking with a good salad variety.
Furniture and decorations are basic and aged. There is nothing but basic function and clean place to eat.
My lady has always loved this place and we go here a few times a year. Today, this was what she wanted for Valentines Day meal.
Cash is preferred payment and prices are for cash discount. Using a card will add a service fee.

Stopped in after a hike at Mammoth Cave. Ordered breakfast because I was really craving pancakes and bacon. Both were good- no complaints.
