The Waterfront Restaurant is located in the Anchor Inn Hotel, perched on the water’s edge, overlooking the Discovery Passage and the Salish Sea. Our huge ceiling to floor windows give a breath taking oceanfront view from every table. Our award winning executive Chef specializes in a large variety of in season Seafoods, ranging from freshly caught local Salmon, along with locally sourced scallops, mussels, clams, oysters and prawns. Steakhouse: Surf & Turf, Add Crab or Lobster to your steak BREAKFAST: Served Daily from 7am to 10am, Monday to Friday. 7am to 11am Saturday and Sunday. Open to the public as well as hotel guests. Wish you could give them a zero.
Went out for a date night & left with no dinner . Had to hit up a local pizza place instead of having a 8oz fillet mignon. From what i planned on having to cold pizza.
Ordered a beautiful 8oz fillet mignon with Peppercorn brandy with Potatoes and seasonal vegetable.
No mushrooms in either the sauce or daily vegetable so i am happy as i am allergic to mushrooms.
No where on the menu does it even offer mushrooms. Our plates come out and the steak and the entire plate is covered in mushrooms.
I tell them i am deathly allergic to them and i need it remake and i hear them talk about just re-plating the dish not remaking it.
So I cancel my order as now don’t trust
There kitchen & re-ordered a simple french onion.
20-30 mins later we Cancelled , paid for my wifes dinner $63 + ( Appetizer, Main & a small apple juice) to leave un-feed & un happy. Still left the server a nice tip ($20) on top of that bill but will never be back a bill that should of been well over 150 bucks for date night ended up in knowing even after a re-branding . It’s still just the same old problems . Just wrapped up in a Fancy new name.
Sad to see as a local & even more sad is to see a manager didn’t even say sorry.

I took my Mom on her first getaway in Campbell River & our package included a dining gift certificate to Anchor Waterfront Restaurant.
We reserved for early dinner & had a great table with amazing views. Tables are set very far apart & the restaurant had high ceilings & was well ventilated.
We had great, friendly customer service. Our food & drinks arrived fairly promptly. They serve wild salmon & we enjoyed that entree with their scallops appetizer.
I’d dine here again.

A lovely place to have dinner and enjoy the waterfront views. We had the Calamari to start and then the New York steak with Peppercorn and Brandy Sauce as well as the Thai Rice Bowl. Great service as well.

I’m not sure how this place has a low rating. Stunning views and a wonderful 3 course Easter dinner tonight.
The dinner came with this salad with mixed toppings and blackberry. It was different from your typical house salad and good. The ham dinner was wonderful with mash (root vegetables) and a side of mixed vegetables, roasted I believe. The ham came with a light dijon mustard sauce and paired well with the ham. I only took a bite of the cake as I was stuffed from the main course. It was very delicious and I took the rest of the cake home.

Not recommended…the appetizer included a hair on me and a fly (!) on my friend in the food itself (See photo) in addition to the actual dish. We told the waitress about it.
When the bill came, however, the salad was still on it with the full price. Only when we had mentioned the fly again the salad was deleted from the bill…Service looks different!!!
The main course was ok but also not worth mentioning…2 stars there for the view.
Go rather eat somewhere else.

I had the grilled salmon at Anchor, and while it was a bit expensive, the portion size was perfect for one person. The staff were kind, the food was delicious, and the scenery was beautiful. Overall, a good experience!

We are currently staying in the hotel so came here for dinner. The food was delicious! The server we had (Deanna) was exceptional! She was super friendly and was so helpful when we realised the restaurant wouldn’t be open for breakfast (included in the room price) before we had to leave for a tour in the morning. She gathered together a breakfast pack of cereal, milk and juice. What a star!

Fantastic place to cook your catch! We caught a coho in the morning, dropped it off around noon, and had an amazing meal that night. They filleted the fish, prepared it with a maple glaze and served it with roasted vegetables, roasted potatoes, and Caesar salad. If you catch something and want it prepared by a local restaurant I highly recommend the Anchor Inn.

Absolutely dismal service. Sat for 30 minutes before getting drinks. Appetizers were forgotten then took over 1.5hrs to arrive. Margarita was all water with a splash of lime juice, I don’t think it had and tequila or triple sec in it. I never complain about service but this was on another level of bad. The food was not good, fish and chips was gummy and off tasting. I should have refused paying but we had cranky kids with us and just wanted to leave. Really poor experience. The patio has such potential.

The worst service ever, the waitress made us stand outside for 20 minutes without attending to us , we had to let ourselves in and sit at the bar and she was attending to other people. Even saw us leaving and didn’t say anything. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone and would give it zero star if there was zero star.
