The atmosphere was beautiful with great water views and a lovely setup. After brunch, my family and I enjoyed spending time outside where there’s a park, volleyball courts, and even cornhole — such a nice bonus!
We had a wonderful time and definitely appreciate the vibes and hospitality here.
To my dismay: the fish and chips were pretty greasy. The breading remained crispy. No salt or lemon was presented with the dish. The fries were not hot when served, were stiff almost as though they were old and second fried to be served to reduce waste. I used to work for a restaurant so I know what older fries turn out like, so, if they were not, then the fries are just terrible quality.
There was only about 2-3 other tables being served at the time. They had a few dead flies on the sill. They should try to clean daily
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the fantastic brunch experience we had at your establishment recently. It’s absolutely beautiful! The combination of delicious food, excellent customer service, and welcoming atmosphere truly exceeded our expectations. The lake views added an extra touch of serenity, and Chelsey’s friendly and welcoming demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable.
It’s definitely a great place to take your family out, especially considering how kids friendly it is. Thank you once again for a wonderful brunch. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!
Our server, Zack, never paid attention to me when I tried to speak to him; he only responded to my husband. I understand that he may be the typical American man, but I am not — and it made me feel uncomfortable.
I truly hope to return someday to enjoy your delicious food again without having to experience that feeling of discrimination!
We started off with drinks and I ordered an Old Fashion. Seemed to take incredibly long to get our drinks and it would be nice if they offered a greater variety of bourbons like Blanton’s.
We decided to have some “Starters” and ordered the Mahi Taco, Peel & Eat Shrimp, Crab Dip, Crispy Brussels Sprouts and French Fries. The Peel & Shrimp was very good. These are quite large shrimp and cooked perfectly. However, traditional peel & eat shrimp would have been seasoned, often with Old Bay seasoning. It came with cocktail sauce but no horseradish.
The Mahi Taco’s were good; it’s blackened Mahi and would have been better if it was just plain grilled. It’s served with a quite a few fillings and would have been so much better with just shredded cabbage and some chipotle mayo. But they are good.
The Crab Dip was not what I was expecting. They have “Gulf Crab Dip” in all caps and bolded. But what I didn’t notice was under where it said ‘hummus’. If you are really hungry, this is okay but I wouldn’t order it again.
The Brussels Sprouts were good but they need to drizzle something atop like Thai Chili sauce or something to make it more than just plain sprouts. The French Fries you need to completely pass on. They were not fresh and just had an old taste to them; we tried a few and that was it.
It’s a beautiful location and when the days are longer, it must be amazing sitting outside and enjoy the view over the water. I would come back to try some of the other dishes but the menu is a bit limited. Hopefully they can make some changes. They do have boat slips so you can pull in and enjoy a quick bite and get back out on the water.
