This place is a really nice surprise. Be advised, if you come Monday-Saturday before 5pm, you will have to pay at least 75 cents an hour to park due to municipal parking regulated by Toms River. The atmosphere here is second to none. It did take a little bit to get seated, it seems the staff were a bit discombobulated today. The food is pretty good too, we had an assortment of items, although the burgers could use more seasoning. We will definitely return soon. I’ll update this as well!
8/3/25: We decided to come here again. The weather was absolutely perfect for sitting outside and the staff was on the ball. I had the fish and chips which were amazing. We also had a tuna bowl and chicken wrap which were great.
9/13/25: Lots of football on today. I had the spicy rigatoni vodka which was quite good even with slightly overcooked chicken. We had a tuna bowl and steak sandwich as well, quite good.

Came on a Saturday night for the Eddie Tester band. Had a great time. Beautiful restaurant outdoor area is very nice. Big place great seating. Food was good got a variety of things, loved everything. Service could use improvement.

My wife, sister-in-law and I visited this place for the first time. It’s a large sprawling restaurant and bar right on the Toms River.
There are multiple bars inside and out. The large outdoor patio where we ate has nice umbrella covered tables. The food was very good, and our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. It’s really a great place to spend a nice day out on the patio. We can’t wait to visit again.. Highly recommend it!

I ordered a pizza so I didn’t look like a total schmuck while being stood up. Lol. It was okay but not anywhere near the price. I suppose that’s not really their specialty though. The View was pretty nice. The servers kept coming back as they should. No complaints

Tyler is a wonderful server. We we’re a larger group celebrating a special occasion and he was so personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and very fun. Also, a member of our party was gluten free and he made sure everything came out safe. This was our first time at Water Street, highly recommend. Excellent gluten free menu and regular menu. We will be back.

Water Street Restaurant in Toms River is an absolute gem.
The lobster and shrimp dish was perfection: sweet, tender lobster tail and plump, juicy shrimp swimming in a bright garlic-white-wine butter sauce that I’m still dreaming about. Sides were spot-on, portions generous, and every bite flawless.
The river views are gorgeous, the vibe relaxed yet polished, and the service? Outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely caring without ever hovering.
If you’re anywhere near the Jersey Shore, go. That dish alone is worth the trip, but the whole experience is five-star magic. We’ll be back soon!

My husband and I had a wonderful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary here. The live music created an amazing vibe, and both the beet & goat cheese salad and the short ribs were absolutely outstanding!

Our family went to the Water Street Bar & Grille on Saturday for an early Father’s day celebration. This was our first time there, but it won’t be our last. Our server, Hannah was so nice, and made some great recommendations.
For starters, our appetizers were the Calamari, but with a twist. Not your same ole, same ole marinara sauce. This fried calamari had a caribbean flare. Everyone loved it. Plus the Caribbean nachos, such a great spin on a classic dish.
We had soups, Lobster bisque… loaded with lobster and a great crouton on the top. And our daughter, New England Clam chowder…fantastic. The dinners were wonderful and all very nice size portions for the price. Dessert was great! Especially the Key Lime Pie.
We will definitely return, when we can eat out on the deck, to enjoy another wonderful meal and the sun is finally shining again, down the shore.

The service was okay. The grilled salmon was kind of bland, the shrimp and scallops linguine could’ve used more salt, butter and seasoning. The best dish was the citrus calamari! Delish. Mango Mojito was quite good. The live music was fun!
