Our first time visiting Water Grill was on Valentine’s Day for their Valentine’s Day Menu (priced at $135 per person). Unfortunately our experience was not the greatest though I try to give some grace considering it was a busy night. However, I feel the restaurant could’ve better prepared knowing it was a holiday.

Our reservation was for 5:45pm, we were not seated until about 6:15pm. The evening ended at about 8:10pm (and that was with us having to rush dessert as we needed to be somewhere at 8pm).

The bread and butter were DELICIOUS, the oysters were great, our entrees were also pretty good. None of our food tasted bad per se. It just wasn’t anything that mind blowing either. The presentation was very mediocre. We also ordered 2 additional sides with our entrees for an extra $12-$15 each.

The worst part of the evening was definitely the pacing of our courses. We waited a good 20-30 minutes for each course to come out. By the time we got our entrees we couldn’t quite enjoy it as we were stressing out about needing to leave for our next scheduled event. We had to ask our waiter to bring out dessert ASAP as we needed to head out.

Overall, the food was decent. But I think the price we paid for everything was not worth the quality, presentation, and service we received.

Located in the heart of downtown, I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Thanksgiving at Water Grill with my family, and from the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. The concierge greeted us warmly, setting the tone for an exceptional experience, and the service throughout the evening was impeccable.

We indulged in The Deluxe Seafood Tower and couldn’t get enough of the habanero vinaigrette—a perfect balance of heat and flavor! The menu is incredibly impressive, offering not only outstanding seafood but also thoughtful options for vegans and vegetarians. I loved that Water Grill provided both a special Thanksgiving menu and the full menu for anyone looking for something beyond traditional holiday fare.

A special shoutout to Lindy, our server, whose attentiveness and knowledge elevated the meal, and Mallory, the GM, whose warm welcome and guidance made our celebration feel extra special. Every detail, from service to menu recommendations, was handled with care and expertise. The raw bar was impressive and how fast the fish mongers were shucking oysters!

Water Grill truly turned our Thanksgiving into a memorable, festive experience. I can’t wait to return—whether for the holiday, a seafood feast, or a casual night out. Highly recommend!

Great restaurant! Surprised to see that it was half full on a Friday night. Service was prompt and not overwhelming. The ambiance is awesome. You can tell a lot went into the build of this restaurant. I went with the miso cod that our server recommended. We enjoyed the sourdough bread that came out before our meal. The calamari appetizer was a hit. The raw bar menu looked great however we didn’t go for it this time around. Parking was fairly easy downtown with a free street spot available nearby. There’s also paid garages nearby. We hopped over to Oscar Blues next door for a night cap. Fun night!

Inviting, semi upscale vibe and contemporary decor. Our server was very attentive.
We came in for the 4-course dinner on Valentine’s Day.
Hubby and I picked diff options on each course so we got to try more dishes!
First course:
-Jumbo Lump Crab Cake was okay
-Nantucker Bay Scallop Crudo (added Uni) was so good and fresh.
Second course:
-Clam Chowder was flavorful
-Roasted Beet Salad with Yogurt dressing was really refreshing
Third course:
-Wild Ross Sea Chilean Sea Bass was absolutely delicious
-Double R Ranch Filet Mignon was tender and juicy.
Dessert:
-Maple Cheese Cake
-Chocolate Espresso Ganache Cake
Delicious food and good quality, it was good value as the portion was decent.

We’ve been to Water Grill Denver many times, and it never disappoints! Its our favorite WG location by far! The atmosphere is lively and stylish but still comfortable enough to relax and enjoy a conversation. It’s perfect for a date night, celebrating with friends, or just treating yourself to an incredible meal. Our favorite table are the booths directly in front of the kitchen so we can watch all the action.

The seafood is consistently outstanding! The oysters are so fresh, entrées are beautifully prepared and plated, and flavors hit every time. We always start off with a perfectly poured Old Fashion cocktail. Some of our favorite meals are the Wild Jumbo Shrimp Louie Salad and the Wild Eastern Sea Scallops, both absolutely delicious. And we never skip dessert..their Key Lime Pie is the perfect sweet finish!

The service is always top-notch. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and makes great recommendations. We especially appreciated on our last visit, that the chef took her time to stop by our table..! It makes the experience feel that much more personal and special.

Water Grill Denver has truly become one of our go-to spots, and we leave every visit already excited to come back. If you love seafood, this place is an absolute must!

I had a lovely lunch at Water Grill this week after visiting the Denver Art Museum. I was immediately provided a nice table in the bar area, which was comfortable, clean, and located in a well-appointed area.

I order the cioppino and a glass of Sancerre. The order came out perfectly cooked across all ingredients and was a very generous portion. I was very happy with the quality and variety of the seafood, including a full front shoulder of Dungeness Crab.

Jon provided excellent service, as did the two servers who stopped by my table. Unfortunately, I didn’t get their names. I had a nice conversation with Jon after my meal.

At 17th and Market St. it is convenient to Union Station, Larimer Square, and many parking garages.

My husband and I went yesterday for lunch for our anniversary. Our server Nico did a fantastic job! The food was delicious but the Chilean Sea Bass was definitely the best dish we had.

This is my new favorite restaurant, by far. The most amazingly fresh seafood I’ve had in Denver, or anywhere really. They store much of it in saltwater tanks, right in the resteraunt! OMG the Sourdough bread. The apps, service, ambiance – it all rocks!!! Heading back with a bunch of friends for my birthday!

This place was stunning, both in decor and service. The food was outstanding, and I’ve eaten all over Denver. We went for lunch, and it was a very slow day, but the food was prepared as if we were VIP. Absolutely delightful, can’t wait to return on my next trip!
