I really enjoyed my experience at this place. The service was great and quick. I got chicken hibachi, avocado/cucumber roll and a lychee tini. Everything was really delicious. I highly recommend and 100% will go back!

I have been here a few times and I’ve never been disappointed!
It’s not an overly extravagant place but their food is incredible.
I had the dinosaur egg appetizer and the Under the Sea roll this time.
Beautiful presentation and always fresh.

Watami was such a pleasant experience! This restaurant service is immaculate – felt welcomed immediately. Our server was very helpful in making great recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious without flaw! This is a rare find, for everything to hit the mark. The food, the boba drinks, the appetizer, all of it was spot on delicious!! Also something to note, the atmosphere is very nice; aesthetically pleasing, and a very clean place. I really wish there was one in Rhode Island. When I’m in Portland again I definitely will stop by Watami!

Fantastic sushi! We had several badis rolls and some great specialty rolls as well along with tempura that was crispy and delicious. Solid service. Very readonable prices! Will be back!

Beyond impressed with the atmosphere, hospitality, and food. We tried the sweet potato rolls for our appetizer and proceeded to get a second order. For our mains, we both got the rich chicken ramen which was flavorful with chicken chunks grilled to perfection. We Had a great experience with our server DanDan, and can’t wait to go back to try more.

This is Watami’s second restaurant in Maine, and I’m so glad it opened in Portland. Their menu is incredibly extensive—you can always find something you want to eat and drink. They offer sushi, ramen, poke bowls, and even bubble tea. Every time I walk in and open the menu, I immediately start feeling excited, and it has never let me down. I can’t wait to keep exploring more of their dishes and drinks!

Excellent food, Shrimp Hibachi was excellent as well as the Gyoza and Yakitori. Prices were reasonable and service was great. The atmosphere is nice, soothing and comfortable. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a party of 10 with a young child and a toddler. Our waiter was extremely friendly and constantly checking in with us. Appetizers were delicious and fairly priced. Sushi was fresh and hibachi plates were packed with flavor.
